"Just stop," She plead as a tear streamed down her pink-tinted cheek, numbed by the bitter December air.

She was completely frustrated at the emotions he's caused her, the ones that constantly swarmed her already-cluttered mind whenever he was around.

"Stop what?" He approached her slowly and initially confused, the freshly-fallen snow softly crunching under his boots, as he gently brought his cold hand up to her pale, sunken face.

He began tracing small, swirls on her cheek with the pad of his thumb, a comforting gesture he's given Ariella numerous times before. But even he couldn't ease the tension welling in her body by the second. Nothing could.

She quickly pushed him away and averted her gaze to anywhere but his hurting eyes, the ones that always made her loose her composure around him.

"Stop making me fall hopelessly in love with you."
