My body's reaction was to jump and take cover, while what my mind wanted to do was stay still because no sudden movements, duh. Sadly my mind lost.

   Stupid body.

The lion's body's reaction was to pounce on me, while what it's mind probably wanted to do was pounce on me. So it's a win win situation. At least, for the lion it is.

When the lion did pounce, my body's reaction was to either get out of the way or fight off the lion, while what my mind wanted to do was faint. This time, because reality doesn't give a shit about what I have to think, my mind won.

   Screw you reality.

I woke up. Not really waking up, though, is it? Because I didn't fall asleep or anything, I fainted. What's the difference? One almost got me killed by a lion. Speaking of which, I was surprised to find that I didn't have so much as a scratch. And there they were, North America and Australia, squatting next to me. (With my computer, thankfully.) I didn't ask what the hell had just happened, or anything reasonable like that. Nope. "Australia, if you're Australian, how come you don't have an accent?" He shook his head. "Honestly, I really don't know. Not everyone has an accent in Australia, you know. Speaking of which, if you're Asian, why do you speak English?" I was about to call him an idiot, but then I realized he obviously had no clue.

"I take classes. I don't just speak American and Asian, I also speak French and Spanish." Oddly, he mouthed the words "I know." When I started to question this, he shushed me. "Come on, let's go find some African person."

Of course, two minutes after saying that, he and North America were crouching by a bush, intently peering at a giraffe that was just on the other side. Meanwhile, I took care of the hard work.

I opened my computer and looked at the dots. Two were in front of me, representing the North America and Australia. Then there was mine. Then, not too far to my right, there was another one. I started to open a tab to play ROBLOX, (yes, that game exists in Asia) but then I realized something. Not too far to my right was another dot.

I quickly stood up and looked to my right. (ROBLOX would have to wait.) There was a black kid standing in a field just across the river. I started walking towards him, but he quickly ran off in the other direction when he noticed me looking his way. (Hmm, this encounter seems familiar.)

I chased after him until I reached the river. Then I paused. Looking down into the river, I saw like seven rocks, but how many were actually rocks? There weren't any crocodiles in Africa as far as I knew (Don't quote me on it) but crocodiles don't actually look like rocks. I don't know why they put that in movies and stuff.

Now hippos, on the other hand. So I looked at the rocks very closely to see if I could find a difference. Big mistake.

The hippo grabbed me and pulled me into the water, then proceeded to thrash me around several times. I suddenly thought of my friend Lee Jun from school. He probably would have yelled "Weeeeeeeee!" He always cracked me up. Why was I thinking of all this? Well I was going to die, duh. I may have survived the lion, but you don't always get that lucky. Besides, ever since I discovered Australia wasn't my dad, I kind of gave up. Didn't know what to do with myself.

So that's what I did. I gave up. In all honesty, I probably could have escaped the hippo, but I just accepted it. I let it happen. So yes, in a way, I was committing suicide.

But the others didn't have to know that. They would think it had been the hippo, maybe cry a little, and then move on with their quest to gather everyone still alive. Maybe they would notice I had been going this way and find the black kid. Maybe they could restart humanity. (If there any other girls left.) I would never know the answer to this, but you know what? That's fine with me.

I felt warm as the darkness surrounded me.
