I walked to the room, Uzma came and was standing in front of the door , she stopped me and as I gave a stern look she bowed down and left.

I turned the knob not making any sound , and stepped inside. All I heard was I love you tooo.!..

I was shocked but, I will definitely ask her, before I could speak she turned and half her hair flew behind in turn, while she pushed back the remaining. She saw me and froze for a moment, with her hands she gathered her hair and made a messy bun. This is what I like the most about her, she never tries to be miss proper. She is what she is.

I asked her who was she speaking to and seeing her reaction I knew she was about to fight, she put her right hand on her hip raising her eyebrow and twisted her lips. She would always answer my question with a question, another thing about her that I liked.

Women generally never asked me questions , but then I never let them so close either. I looked at her and she put up her angry face. I know she'd say it was non of my business.  She always said that to me.

She stepped behind and asked me how did I get in MY ROOM. At times like these I wanted to laugh at her, but I reminded her that this was my house. Lately all we kept doing was fight. We had another argument and she went to the balcony and shut the sliding doors.

This time I did not open, just let her be maybe it was the best way. I saw her sit on the chair, her hair still in the messy bun. I walked out of the room and went to my study. I removed a glass and bottle of whiskey and poured some for myself. Gulping it down in one stroke made my throat burn a little. But, I needed something strong. My mind was having a recap of the conversation I had with Tia.

Tia was the girl who was on and off with me, since long now she was asking for security but, I was not ready and she knew this.  My mom and Koren always had liked Tia for her style and status.

Shimmer was opposite of Tia. I opened my note and started working.  I had to visit Istambul and meet up with Hasnat for my new hotel there. Hasnat has been very supportive. I checked a few arrangements and sent Hasnat a text saying I will be visiting after two weeks. I got an instant response to the message saying everything will be ready.

I will be there for a week. Shimmer had told me she wanted to stay back in Greece for sometime. I could let her be here and attend to the project there, besides nothing would harm her here as I have good security and plus Shimmer has agreed to have Mark be with her.

Right now I wanted to take Shimmer in my arms and make love to her. Every time I was with her I felt content, and omg I have forgotten to use protection while how could I! I was now getting worried. 

What if she fell pre...I was not going to complete the sentence.  I know she had never had any experience before, but should have been careful. I cursed myself.  If I go ask her she will get more angry. But I had to find out. Not that I did not want to be a father. But if she was not ready than I couldn't do that to her.

If I told her I have not extended the contract would she stay? Shall I tear it up? Maybe if she is free then she can decide to stay or no.

I drank my second glass and there was a loud knock on the door and before I could answer first time ever Uzma rushed in the study.

My lord The lady is  not fine.she was complaining of a bad stomach ache but, now she is not responding at all. Please be quick. Abu and I tried a lot to wake her. A.  I started rushing towards the room.

Who picked her to the bed?

Abu did. Uzma said.

I looked at Abu but he looked down, I know he was just doing his duty but I could not help but feel the anger that I should have held her. I looked down at her and sat to her right. I placed my hand on her cheek, she was turning cold.

I removed my cell and called Dylan, but, he did not take my call. So I picked My princess carefully and rushed her to the car.

Uzma you come along. I was shouting. She had to stay safe. I put Shimmer in the back seat. I put her head in my lap and asked Abu to drive at full speed.  I did not want to let her go even for a second.

After a ten minute drive we reached Corfu main hospital. As we stopped the car the ER team rushed towards us. One guy in blue uniform was pushing the stretcher,  two more arrived after him. They put shimmer on the stretcher. One of them started checking her pulse and blood pressure.

Pluse low, bringing a patient to with bradycardia and low pressure. He than looked at me and asked what happened. I told him the symptoms that uzma had said to me, and also that Uzma and Abu had found her in this condition.

I should have been there with her I told myself.
