When they told me what had happened my heart almost stopped beating. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak and I couldn't defend myself when they found 'evidence' making me their main suspect.
She was my wife, my lover and my best friend.

Slowly getting out of the car I slammed the door, not caring if it woke anyone up around me. In fact... I hope it did, I was jealous of them. Of how they could sleep so peacefully. Since the... Since I lost my wife... I've never been able to drift of to sleep.
I walked across the carpet of blackness, shuffling my feet and taking my time. Making my way to my holiday cottage... Our holiday cottage... I stepped into the darkness and let it surround me. Taking all my senses the night sky carried me up the hill, and to our secret place that sat on the cliff top looking down on the velvet sea.
