Kai's P.O.V ~

The hallway wouldn't end. It had been hours since I last seen Lloyd, I know it, unless time itself was moving no quicker than molasses out of a jar. My footsteps echoed down the never ending hallway, yet they never differed in pace. Right, left, right... Left........ It was painfully boring walking down a hallway that took you no closer to your destination than where you started out. I was somewhat positive that if I turned back now, the empty void would be only a few steps away. But I couldn't, not when I was so close.
I trudged on, looking at nothing but the floor at this point. I failed to recognize that I was being watched however....

Lloyd's P.O.V ~

The old study had been polished up since the last time I had been there. The floor had been swept and polished, the bookcases all straightened out and dusted. A small gasp escaped my lips; all this trouble for one meeting? None the less, I walked forward and seated myself in the velvet chair by a darkened fireplace. I looked at my surroundings once more, and something caught my eye. A big, hardcover book was placed on the small codes table just ahead of me, it's golden spirals confusing my eyes as the light bounced off it. I reached for he book and held it in my lap; heavy but lightweight at the same time. Odd.
I turned the book so I could look at the cover, and just as I did I froze. This book, I've seen it before... No, no it can't be, NO
My hands began to shake, the book clutched tightly. This book was the same that held the note my father had written to me. This book is what sent him to the Cursed Realm. I felt tears start to well up in my eyes. The book was shaking, threatening to slip from my hands and clatter to the floor. I took deep breathes to calm myself down.
I set the book back on the table and grabbed my shoulders. My whole body was shaking and my hands wee moist. I sat up then in the chair, my hands at my sides now. The best I could do at this point is not look at the book. But oh the temptation... I snuck a glance at the cover again and my pupils shrank. I quickly closed my eyes. It's not worth it, it's not worth it,
Just then, I heard the door creak open. Footsteps could be heard and a low buzz. I straightened in the chair and tried to act calm. I turned my head to the person who was now preparing to sit down in the chair across from me, hoping that they would prove as a healthy distraction.

Kai's P.O.V ~

My feet hurt. This hallway is never ending. I want to go home.

No, not yet. We're so close to finding him!

He doesn't want us. Might as well turn back now.

You quitter.

Hey!

I had grown so bored of waking that I had engaged in a personal conversation; With myself. It really wasn't too bad, for you got to talk about what troubles are on your mind with someone who will actually listen. It's a very boring thing to talk about to someone who doesn't care.

Keep walking! Someone is bound to notice us. Maybe it will be Lloyd again,

But he pushed us away last time! The last thing he wants to see is us again..

Don't say that! You'll only lose hope in saving him!

Who says I already haven't?

I had never noticed how depressing I am until now. Kai 1 is pretty optimistic whilst Kai 2 is the polar opposite. The Real Kai was a bit of both. I sighed and stopped walking. My feet really were starting to hurt. I sat down behind a nearby bookcase for a break. My head rested against the wall, my brown bangs threatening to drop into my eyes. I pushed my hair out of the way and closed my eyes. This, was not a good idea.

Lloyd's P.O.V ~

I grimaced at who I saw. Ronin sat down in the chair next to me, his dark red Bambi hat sheik ding his eyes. My eyes narrowed at the site of this filthy pawnshop owner. He glanced over at me and smiled. I raised an eyebrow waiting for his response. He sighed and took of his hat.
"Sorry, manners." He said as he threw the hat across the room. It landed right next to the fireplace. I hoped it would have landed in the fireplace.
"So, Lloyd, how are ya?" Ronin smiled again, looking in my direction. I stood still as a stone, not giving him any signs that I was interested. He saw this change of pace and frowned.
"Fine, I'll skip the small talk. Now, I bet you're itching to know why your here..."
" yeah" I said flatly. Robin looked at me questioningly before continuing.
"Ok, so, as you can see, you have been 'kidnapped'. Naw, that's a strong word. I prefer 'borrowed'. Anyway,"
"Cut to the chase" I said angrily. Robin looks taken aback but smiled at the sudden snap.
" ah, looks like somebody is getting used to things around here." I shot him an angry look.
" fine. Anyway, you're here because you don't know what kind of power you possess."
" yes I do."
" Well, it's much more than you think. See, Pirates can become supernaturally powerful if they marry someone. But, that is not the only way. They can also become insanely powerful by collecting the elemental power of an Elemental Master."
I looked at him questioningly. This was new territory that I did not want to step into.
" What has this got to do with me?"
" Are you really that stupid? YOU are an Elemental Master Lloyd. In fact, you are even more then that. You are The First-"
" second"
" Second Spinjitzu master!! That makes your power over double a normal Elemental Master!"
I tried to keep my face as straight as possible. My power, am I going to lose it? I have to get out of here! But how?? Before my mind could wander any more, I was snapped back to reality by Ronin. Literally. He had pulled out a fan at some point and slapped my with it. My cheek stung from the impact and my hand instantly went up to my face.
" Anyway," Ronin continued.
" Seeing as how when you were discovered in Stiix all sad, Bethany knew you would be an easy target. She knew you wouldn't fight back much. You were too torn apart to do anything."
I looked away to hide the oncoming swell of color on my face. I wasn't proud of this moment in time. I was weak, much weaker than now. No wonder I couldn't save myself then.
" On the last day of the year, which is coming up actaully, you will be presented towards a djinn for a special transference. What will happen is your powers will be stripped away from you, leaving you weak and vulnerable. However, after this, since we aren't super mean, we will let you go back to Ninjago."
I sat up quickly; freed from this horrible place?!? It was almost worth it to stick out the remaining days here. There were only three more, I could do it. If only I could find Kai and tell him to go home. He didn't need to risk his life for me when I would be set free. A smile crossed my face as Ronin sat up to retrieve his hat.
" Well, hope you enjoyed this meeting Lloyd." He then walked out of the room. As the door shut behind him, I couldn't hold in my happiness. I was going to be free, free, free at last!! I looked at the ceiling above, just because. I wanted to get a look of the room that announced my freedom fully. However, I saw something above me sparkle faintly. I squinted my eyes and saw a handle. This was confusing, a handle in the ceiling. Unless... It meant there was a secret door in this house that lead to who knows where. I stood up in the chair and reached for it. My fingers brushed the copped handle. I gritted my teeth. So close yet so far. How was I going to get to that door....?

Kai's P.O.V ~

I opened my eyes to a dark blue room. Not good. I was pretty sure the hallway I had been walking in was brown and red. I sat up, only to feel the sensation of a million needles piercing the back of my head. I instantly Kaye's back down, tears forming in my eyes from the sudden pain. I felt dizzy and a little sick from the excitement. I closed my eyes again. When I feel better, I'll see to where I am.
