It was a late night in fabulous Las Vegas as the sun set and the lights of the casinos and large hotels brightened the surrounding area. The Gleeful twins were in Nevada with their Grunkle Stan on vacation. Night after night of capturing an audience's attention gets tiring after awhile! Stan pulled their bus into one of the most astounding hotels, pulling up to the door.
"Listen kids, we're here for a whole week so try an' enjoy yourselves and take it easy," The older man handed each twin two separate key cards for their own rooms. "Don't lose anything you'll regret now, you two!"
"Yes, Grunkle Stan." The two replied in unison. They then took the elevator to their rooms, talking to pass the time.

"So brother, what do you plan on doing once we arrive?" Dipper sighed, deep in thought.
"I don't really know. I just might relax for tonight and see the sights tomorrow." Replied the teen.
"Brother, come on! We're in Vegas, we're both twenty one , and you're single now! You an' I are going out tonight, got it?"
"No, I don't want to." Mabel knew her brother really wanted to go out, but since his recent breakup with his now-ex-girlfriend, he had been really down lately. However, she was determined to help Dipper get back up on his feet, and where better to find a date than in Las Vegas?
Luckily, their hotel wasn't too far away from the many things that Vegas had to offer.
"C'mon, brother! We'll go out and do all kinds of cool things, I promise! Wear something nice, okay?"
The male sighed, giving in to the whims of his sister who seemed so bent on getting him out of the house, so to speak. "Fine, I'll go. But I'm not promising that I'll like it." He said dryly.
"I'll take it, just hurry up and get ready!" With that, he closed the door to Mabel's room, walking three doors down to his own room. It shut behind him, automatically locking into place.
'Ugh, I really don't want to go out tonight,' he thought to himself. 'But maybe this'll be good for me.' He thought as he stripped down to his boxers. He unpacked his bags, getting out one of his nice, white dress shirts that he packed for his "Sunday best" as well as a sapphire blue tie that complemented the basic white background of his shirt. He also got out a pair of black church-style pants and pulled them up over his waist.
Then, there were three rapid, yet gentle knocks at his door, which Dipper assumed to be his sister.
"Dipper, are you ready yet? If you're not ready in the next five minutes, I'm leaving without you." As soon as Dipper heard this, he quickly laced his shoes, checked over the room, and hurried to the door, opening it. "Hah, I knew that would work!"
"Ugh. Let's just get going. Where are you taking me anyways?"
"You'll see, brother. Just leave it all to me!" She said with a smile.

(((TIME SKIP)))

When the two arrived at the place Mabel brought them, Dipper couldn't be any less surprised. Well the name should've given it away. It was a strange little bar/club named "Astrum Luscus".
'Hmm, "The Starry Eye"?' He pondered. "Sounds mysterious, Mabel."
"Don't think too much about it! This is gonna be good for you!"
"Yeah, maybe you're right..."
"Of course I am!" She said. The two took the two middle seats at the bar, ordering a couple of drinks. The bartender prepared their drinks for them, and placed them in front of the two respectively. Dipper took a sip of his drink, enjoying the bittersweet burn of the alcohol that tasted like autumn oranges with a slight hint of honey.
"So, see anyone here you like brother?" Mabel asked. Dipper looked around at the other patrons of the club, the sound of loud dance music filling his ears. He eyed some of the people there, gazing over at the same, typical faces he'd usually see in a bar, yet not a one stood out to him.
"No, not really," he replied with a sighing disappointedly at the fact that no one there peaked his interests.
"Well I'm gonna go freshen up a bit. You'd better find someone or else I'll set you up with someone here!" She set her drink down and walked to the bathroom to fix her makeup. That left Dipper alone to himself to try and drink away his memories of his ex girlfriend.
