Astrix P.O.V
The sound of my footsteps, echoed off the corridor walls, as I nervously paced outside the board room, waiting for my results. I had recently finished training to become and I.M.F agent and today the committee were debating whether a fifteen year old girl should be allowed as part of a spying organisation.
My last test occurred yesterday when Agents Benji Dunn, William Brant, Luther Stickle, Ethan Hunt and I had to prevent a collection of nerve gas being flown to terrorists. Which consequently ended up with Ethan hanging of the side of the plane. We luckily managed to intercept the gas. But didn't mean that I wasn't concerned about not being accepted. Several dire minutes passed, agonisingly, before the door slowly creaked open.
"Astrix Murdock ?" a committee member poked his head out the door
"Yes?" I asked
"We would like to speak to you about your position in the I.M.F" he replied
Gulping deeply, I walked in. The board members were all sat at a semi-circular table. As I stood before the council, the head of the board stood up and began to speak.
"Miss Murdock," He began, "we have been looking at your test results. In your knowledge and languages you are an outstanding agent." I made a small smile, "However," he continued, "in several test missions you became cocky, reckless, even sarcastic, treating the situation like and didn't think about the consequences which could have unfolded." he went on, "That is a major flaw and could be potentially damaging in the field, endangering both you and your team." he stopped, allowing his words to sink in.
I stayed quite, lump forming in my throat, words unable to surpass my lips.
"That being said," he started again, "that aside, the committee still think that you are an outstanding agent." I looked up, face hopeful, "Which is why we have decided to let you join the I.M.F." I stated grandly.
I opened my mouth to speak, but I was speechless. All I could mutter was a low "Thank you"
"We have your team waiting next door." he finished, before adding, "I pretty sure you don't need anyone to walk you out"
I shook my head and smiled. I walked going to the next room. Ready to start a whole new way life, with the I.M.F
