"Father, please stop!" She yelled, face stained with tears.

"Don't you dare say anything, child!" Her father shouted, clearly angry.

She whimpered praying he would stop his assault.

"That's for not listening to what I say," he smacked her on the back with his hand. "And that's for always forgetting stupid shit," he smacked her again, and again, and again.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," she cried out.

"Shut the fuck up!" He was fuming, seeing everything red. He kept on smacking her and hitting her until he couldn't feel his hand anymore. He stopped momentarily, staring at what he has done.

Aviana stayed laying on the floor with burning back, and aching heart. Tears keeps on falling down her face, streaks of black running down her cheeks from her mascara.

"I-I...fuck!" Her father looked around troubled, not believing what he has done to his little daughter. "I-I'm sorry, Avi." He shook his head leaning down and kissing his daughter's forehead before leaving the room.

Aviana stayed still not moving from her spot, from all the pain coming from her back. She shook with heavy tears as sobs ribs through her, shaking her body along the way.

She was used to it by now, but it still won't hurt any less. She expected it, she saw it coming the second she mumbled that she forgot to clean his room. She tries to remember everything, she writes it down and set up alarms on her phone but she always has to forget something or mess something up. So she knows that everyday she will get a punishment. Either for forgetting, using her phone a lot, or replying to her father in a "rude" manner, even though she doesn't feel like it was rude in any form of way. But that's not what her father thinks.

He would hit her, hit her, hit her. Until he doesn't feel his hands. Dark clouds would be clouding his mind and eyes. She would scream, he would get angry. She would cry, he would get angry. He would realise what's it that he's doing and he would stop and stare with trembling hands and wild eyes. He would apologies and run out the door. Scared to hurt his only child more than he already did. Though that doesn't stop him from doing it everyday.

Right after the death of Aviana's mother. Everything went downhill. The soft, caring, loving father was lost and gone along with her mother. The confident, brave, and beautiful Aviana lost herself to depression and sadness.

She got tired of her life. She tried to end it, many, many time. But she would get punished for thinking of leaving her father alone. "I can't believe you would just think of the idea of leaving your father right after your mother did." He would say. Holding her injured wrists tightly while pushing her around and throwing her down on the floor, only to scream at her for being weak. That was the only time she didn't feel anything. Not the pain from her wrists, nor the pain from her father's rather rough punishment. She would sit numbly, staring coldly at the wall while silent tears roll down. She was fine. She doesn't feel anything, she was numb and she was grateful.

That's how Aviana has been living her life for the past few years. She couldn't find a way to escape the misery and torture.

After three months of being trapped inside a house and being punished every two minutes, she decided to run and leave the house. Because she can't take it anymore. It's only a matter of time until she explodes, just like a ticking time bomb waiting to be touched.

Tick, tick, tick...

Boom.
