Happy people, perfect families, perfect lives...
These are all the things a normal sixteen year old ' s life consists of. Not me. I'm way beyond having a normal life. It's late in the afternoon and I'm still curled up in my bed. This is basically what I do everyday, but even then, every single day I have no choice but to get out of bed and face all types of shit.
My best friend, Ariel, tells me I'm too pessimistic. Truth is, she'll never know how it feels to be Bella Harper.
Let's just put it this way: Bella Harper is an orphan since the last two years, when her parents died in a massive car accident. She was given custody to her then twenty-two year old aunt.
Aunt Lily has always tried her best to love me dearly, but it's just not enough. She's too carefree to be motherly. She's more like a sister. She's a renowned fashion designer and she's provided me with all the luxuries in the world. She's what all my friends call very 'cool'.
Well, she's way too cool to look after a budding teen.
Ofcourse I love her, but then, the people you love are not necessarily the ones you need.
Even though I live in a mansion, I feel so lost. I feel like I don't possess anything..
Shoving my thoughts aside(as usual), I get up and my dark brown curls slide down to my shoulder as I step into the tub for a shower.

"Bella! Where are you baby? Don't you remember we've got to go to the runway?!"
Shit. I totally forgot about my aunt's brand runway tonight. I don't understand why I have a certain disliking to all social events. Specially runways. It's weird.
The main reason I hate going specifically to my aunt's runway is her colleague. He's daring and somehow..mysterious.
I don't get the way he looks at me from the corner of his green eyes. It just makes me super uncomfortable.
Also, he's super hot. Well, that's atleast what my super crazy friend Ariel describes him as. I don't know...
There's something about that guy that just irks me...
I quickly wear my casual jeans and shirt. I'm not really the dress type of girl you know."I'm sorry for being late again Aunt Lily." Although I really don't mean an apology. I don't know if I should feel bad about giving a cold shoulder to the people around me. It's just how I am. Rather, how I've become.
"It's okay Bella. We have to pick Ariel as well. Quickly hop in the car."
Oh. How could I forget how much my super crazy best friend wishes to have my life.
My super hot, complete opposite best friend jumps in the car-with her extra large rings that I can never wear and her dress and all those girly things that I can never imagine myself in.
"Bella! Is that seriously what you're going to wear?" She pouts at me. She makes air quotations saying, "at the runway?"
I roll my eyes at her over exaggerated expression and look out the window while she greets my aunt-who secretly wishes she was her niece instead of me.
Seriously. Those two belong together.
Ariel looks at me with her bright blue eyes and squeals, "I cannot wait to see that sexy colleague of your aunt!"
I pop my eyes out with utter disbelief. "I can't believe you're actually excited to see him. He creeps me out every single time."
"You know what I think Bella? I think your not straight." She smirks at me and looks at her side of the window.
I give her a slight slap on the cheek at that and we both laugh our heads off.
She may be absolutely ridiculous, but I love her.
I don't know, he is handsome..but..he always seems like he's figuring his way out of a labyrinth or something.
I don't understand what it really is about Adam Carter that just doesn't go well with me.
My best friend might be excited around him, but me..
I'm terrified around him.×.........................................×
