The Rebels were growing in strength and size. It was officially declared a war for  Earth.
"Alright listen up!" A booming voice roared as all the Azurites stood in formation.
"One of you is going to be sent to earth, we have already decided on which one of you, but since it's likely the first one won't return it's best to explain it to all of you."
You could cut the tension with a knife.
"Will Azurite number 268lfh56 step forward please." I gulped and made my way forward.
"You will be paired with a charoite gem, she will be there to protect you, if you disappoint, you'll be shattered no questions asked."
"I won't disappoint you" I said bravely ignoring my absolute terror
"It's not me you should fear disappointing, it's blue diamond" my commander said putting her hand on the diamond that was imprinted on my jumpsuit.
"Remember I'm not the one who makes the shattering calls."
I nodded.
"Your ship is leaving soon, you'll meet your bodyguard there, and if you're shattered while you're there, that should be considered an honor."
"Yes ma'am."
"Get a move on, you'll be leaving very soon"
While heading towards my ship I could hear my fellow azurites, the tension among them almost disappeared, but obviously my fear grew. I didn't know where the earth was, the strength of the rebels, and to top it all off I was stuck with a gem who I didn't even know, let alone the fact that a good amount of them left to become rebels.
As I reached my ship I gulped and prepared for whatever troubles would come my way.
