It's Not Over

Prologue: Everything That I've Ever Wanted

The world was on fire. The sky was such a deadly red, and the bold sunset faded into a hot pink, then into orange, and yellow, then the last of the fading blues.  

We sat on the roof of my house, watching the sun set over the horizon. Canada really is a beautiful place to live, I think to myself, looking beside me where the love of my life sat, taking in his full appearance.  

Blake, with the colors of the sunset reflecting in his beautiful brown eyes, sat leaning back on his hands with his legs stretched out and crossed in front of him. His strong, football-player, six-packed body was relaxed for once, and it was easy to tell he was happy from the small smile on his full lips.  

Blake turned his head towards me when he felt my gaze.  

"What?" he asked, still smiling. 

"Nothin'. Just looking." I replied, returning his smile. He stretched his neck slightly and kissed me on the cheek, which made me blush, just like everything else did. Then he just stared into my eyes. His stare was searching, demanding yet gentle and full of longing. He was too tempting. I leaned over and touched my lips to his.  

The kiss between us started off a light gentle touch, but grew until my lips were moving in sync with his. His tongue glazed over my bottom lip, and I opened my mouth, allowing him to slip his tongue in. He laid back on the roof, pulling me on top of him, until I let out a giggle with my smile and rolled over to lay beside him. 

The stars were coming out by now, the sky turning a dark, almost-black blue when a shooting star flashed across the sky.  

"Quick! What do you wish for?" I whispered.  

"Nothing." he said, kissing me on top of my head. "I have everything that I've ever wanted right here beside me."

Sorry it's short, but it's the first chapter I've ever written, and I wanted to show you what Blake and Dani's relationship is/was like.
