(E) EIGHTEEN; CRYPTIC (S2E18)

_____

Estella laid in bed, her eyes shut. It was quiet outside and she felt like she actually deserved a nice sleep. She let out a content sigh, placing her arm behind her head and shutting her eyes. Yet, her peaceful slumber was interrupted when she heard Stefan open her door and walk in.

"Have you seen Elena?" Stefan asked his sister. Estella groaned, opening her eyes and moving her head to look at her brother.

"Don't you keep her on a leash?" Estella questioned innocently. "Here's a thought; Elena is actually a human being, and has other priorities than you."

"Seriously. She isn't here." Estella knew this, of course. Earlier in the morning, her sleep was interrupted when she heard Elena conversing with Elijah, whom she had woken up. Estella pretended to stay asleep, though, and let Elena do what she needed. Unlike her brothers, Estella trusted Elena to make smart decisions most of the time.

"I'm not a hound, Stefan. Call her," suggested Estella. Stefan walked out of her room, unsatisfied with her vague answers.

Estella stared up at the ceiling in annoyance. Sighing, she stood up from her bed and got dressed. So much for that peaceful sleep, she thought to herself. Estella quickly applied her usual makeup, and once she was finished, stared at her reflection for a moment.

Klaus was back. Estella felt a knot tie in her stomach at this. He was back in her life, and there was nothing she could do about it. Everything was spinning out of control, and Estella was just a piece of paper caught in the whirlwind that is Klaus Mikaelson.

Estella bit her lip, holding back a scream of frustration. She hated things that were out of control, and Klaus was exactly that; he was the catalyst to her sanity.

She needed a drink. The blonde walked out of her room, only to be met with Damon and Andie passionately making out in front of her room.

"No PDA in the vicinity of my room," Estella snapped.

Damon pulled away from Andie and smirked. "You're just jealous because you haven't been laid in the last decade."

Estella scoffed, rolling her eyes at her immaturity. "Rude and not true. Stop with the random love-fest near my room, please and thank you!"

"I can't promise anything," Damon called after the blonde. Estella scowled at him but ignored it, taking the higher road and avoiding a fight.

She stepped into the parlor, watching as Stefan slipped out his phone and started talking to Elena once she answered. Elena explained her situation: waking Elijah up in order to negotiate a deal with him about Klaus. The blonde vampire sat down on the couch opposite of him, examining every emotion that passed across her brother's face. Damon later joined her when he said goodbye to Andie. When Stefan hung up, a look of anger was washed over his normal brooding expression.

"Did she just hang up on you?" Estella asked in amusement as Stefan stared at his phone in shock.

"She did."

"She's lost it," remarked Damon, pursing his lips.

"If anyone can get him to help us kill Klaus, it's her," Stefan stated after mulling the information over.

"Bonnie's the way to kill Klaus, Stefan," Damon argued, staring at his brother as if he had horns. "He thinks she's dead. We have a chance with her."
