Some weird weather patterns were blowing through alternia bring a wicked chill to the trolls living there. However the humans were used to it. They knew the cold and were well adept to it. Karkat was especially jolted by the change in atmosphere. Dave had been spending some time watching movies and chilling in karkats hive with him, when he looked over at the Grey skinned cancer. It was clear he was cold. Dave could see his shivers and slightly flushed cheeks.
"Dude, your cold aren't you?"
Karkat shot a glance to Dave.
"No dave. I'm not cold. I'm FUCKING FREEZING"
He crossed his arms letting out a loud breath. What an ass. Dave stood up and sat next to Kar. He removed his hoodie and pulled it over Karkats head. Karkats cheeks began to glow a light red as he slid his arms into the sleeves.
"Why the hell would you give me this?"
Dave wrapped his arms around Karkats waist and pulled him against his chest. Kar could feel Dave's heart beating heavily, rhythmically. He also noticed the strong warmth emanating from the humans body. He couldn't help but melt into Dave's arms, nuzzling his cheek against the human's. Both of them closed their eyes, taking in the warmth and care held in an embrace like a Christmas present tied with a bow.
"Feeling better?" Dave questioned
Karkat nodded, laying against dave until they were cuddling in the corner of the couch in each others warm loving grip.
"Why the hell do you feel so fucking comfortable?"
Dave chuckled and slid his hand down karkats side until it met candy corn horned trolls hand. He didn't grab it instantly, however. He ran his fingers across Karkats palm, until Karkat interlocked their fingers. Why the fuck were they enjoying this so much? Just a troll and a human. But as much as either of them hated saying, they felt strongly for each other in more ways than just annoyance and humor.
"Hey douche muffin"
"Yeah kk?"
Karkats face grew warmer and darker as he pressed his lips to Dave's. Their lips interlocked passionately. Not intensely, not like making out. But romantically and comforting.
"I love you dude" Dave said smiling that typical dorky, confident smile.
"I'm assuming that's your stupid ass human way of spreading affection so. I love you too"
Karkat layed his head against Dave's chest, listening to his heart beat faster. He let out a soft purr, catching Dave's attention.
"Are you fucking purring?"
"SHUT UP OR ILL KICK YOU OUT"
Dave chuckled.
"Okay okay jeez."
Dave held Karkat close. What a cutie
