Out of Body, Out of Mind

chapter 1

I woke up with his arm around my waist. I laid there for a moment, before I gently took my hand from under my head, and placed it on his arm. I slowly ran my fingers down his arm till my hand met his. I rested my hand on his for a moment then locked our fingers. He pulled me closer and said "Good morning sunshine". I smiled and replied softly " Good morning sweetheart". He sat up, smiled at me and kissed my cheek.

"Hailey your absolutely adorable when your hair is a mess in the morning" He said followed by another kiss this time on my forehead. "Thank you" I replied laughing a little. I got up and got dressed then walked to the kitchen. I had made him a big breakfast. It was scrambled eggs with bacon and toast with some jam his favorite. I then ran back into the room and jumped onto the bed. He had fallen back to sleep. I leaned over and kissed him.

"Hey kiamani, wake up I made breakfast". "Awe, thank you baby" He said as he kissed me. "That's why I love you babe, your so sweet" he finished. He kissed me again as he put his hands on my waist and pulled me over, he began to tickle me as I wiggled away. "Kiamani" I screamed while laughing. " I still have to work today" I finished. "So just take a sick day" Kiamani said. "Kiamani you know I cant, I have clients that go to court today i'm going to be super busy". I raced to the bathroom showered and put on a great suit.

Kiamani sat in the dining room eating. "Are you leaving so soon love?" Kiamani asked. "Yes dear" I said. I kissed his forehead and left to the garage. My black mercedes was there next to his green one. I got in the car and drove to work. I was almost there when I had seen the sign to the building. The sign read "Schafer law firm, we fight for your justice". As I turned the corner to the drive way a green car rear ended me spinning me around in to traffic where another car had hit the front of the car. The car was destroyed and the window was all over me. I heard the cars going by in the road and honking. I looked at the side view mirror to find blood on my face and chest. Next thing I know another car crashed into mine again. Soon the fire department was there to help. The pain became to much and I had fell unconscious.

I woke up laying in a hospital bed. I couldn't feel my body, it wasn't numb it just, wasn't there. I sat up and looked around. After a moment I walked to the door way no one was there. I walked down hall a little ways when seen a girl standing there. "Hello" I yelled. She didn't respond so i walked closer. the little girl turned toward me "Im Elisabeth" she said before asking "can you really see me?"she looked up at me shyly. "Y-yes why wouldn't I" I said confused. "You are one of us" she smiled. "I don't know what your talking about" I looked around. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to room 13 where I had came from. "let me show you" she said pushing the door open. I followed her in to find a body in the bed. I walked closer to find me laying there.

A man appeared across the room. "Elisabeth Elisabeth Elisabeth" he said shaking his head. "You know your not supposed to do this they have to learn by themselves" he said stroking the small grey patch of hair on his chin. "Learn what, what am i, please tell me" I asked anxiously. " You can never die lets put it that way we are called the internals" he explained. "We can chose if our spirit is in our body or roaming the earth" the girl said giggling just enough for her blonde curls to bounce. "Do you wanna go back" he asked calmly gesturing toward my body. "Um yea" I said. he pulled me toward my body "Lay down" he said. I simply nodded still confused. "Lay down" he yelled. I laid down hurriedly.

My body started to tingle everything went black. I opened my eyes and screamed, I could finally feel my body. My body ached. I moved the blanket from over my legs they were black and blue. A nurse ran in Jason followed. I sat there in tears. Kiamani walked over and tried to comfort me. " Its going to be ok baby doll" he said moving the hair from my face to reveal a cut going down the left side of my face. "Your still beautiful darling" he reassured. I laid my head on his chest as another tear rolled down my face.

Kiamani put me in a wheel chair and we went down the hall. I looked in all the rooms as we went by, I was looking for the little girl. We went past room 17 and seen the little girl. She was in surgery and she kept flat lining. I pulled on Kiamani's shirt. "Kiamani its that girl" I pointed at her. "What about her Hun" he asked. "She came and seen me when I was locked out" he looked at me confused "no she didn't". He continued to walk down the hall to the exit. "Stay here" he said. "Yea cuz I can totally leave" I said sarcastically. He showed up with the car about ten minutes later. He picked me up and put me in the car. "Buckle the seat belt baby" he said. He walked the wheel chair to the back and put it in the back of his car. He walked back to the front and kissed me "you ready to go sweetie" he asked. "Yea" I replied. We drove home.
