In one of the warmer cities of the Western Isles, reside many of the richest Nobles in the world. With buildings that touch the sky and crystal clear waters, Rionia City was easily one of of the most powerful and influential cities of Noble origin.

An example of one of the world's most powerful would prove to be Amon Khazir, a wealthy Essence Tycoon who had created a vast wealth for himself through being one of the men involved in creating the Essence Extractor.

He sat within his enormous home which was worth more than 15 Billion gold.

As the accomplished Noble sat in his expensive leather armchair, sipping the wine most could not afford, he received a visitor. A man cloaked in darkness stepped into Amon's stunning room and stood a good distance behind the chair that had it's back turned to him.

"You keep failing these eliminations," sighed Amon. "You can't even kill the easy ones, apparently."

"It's not my fault," sighed the cloaked figure as he removed his skull-themed mask. "They're extremely powerful in numbers."

"Kai, no son of mine should be this much of a disappointment," said Amon as he downed his glass of wine in one quick go.

"I'm not your son. You're just the man who conducted the Fetus Mutation process that turned me into this... this thing."

"Yes, yes, see it how you will... moving on however, i've arranged for you to meet with Lusha one last time. This will be the last time he gives us any reinforcements for a long time," he explained as he began to chug down the entire bottle of wine.

"Quite honestly, being your errand boy is getting old," said Kai as he covered his face with his mask once more.

"Just go and find Lusha. I grow tired of this conversation."

Kai left the room with his fists clenched and his teeth gritted in anger and frustration. Amon only ever used him to further his own ambitions. He created a monster out of an innocent child and Kai hated him for it.

Kai was born after a certain experiment took place. His mother was used as a test subject for a breeding program involving a species called Reapers who came from Dimension D. The creature had been made to impregnate Kai's mother who, after 9 months, died during labour. Kai was then adopted by Essence Corp and his father was put down.

He knew all the details down to the date and time of his birth to the exact manner in which his father was put down and it was one thing he could never forgive the Nobles for. He didn't ask to be here and at this point, he didn't want to be here, either.

Lusha was expecting Kai some time later today in the Hound Cave and he had to be punctual. Lusha was known for being stubborn as a dog and probably five times more aggressive.

Kai began the trek to the large cave located quite some distance outside of the city. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead as he pressed on. The intense sun held nothing back today but Kai was used to these types of environments regardless.

The palms of his hands were dry and seemed to be cracking as sweat soaked and drenched his clothing.

The Canis Desert was known to be one of the most hardcore of them all, managing to faint even the most mentally fortified of warriors. It was a wonder that Lusha and his wolves manged to live here, thick fur and all.

Upon finding the entrance to Lusha's cave, Kai was as tired as he could be but still pressed on.

The cave seemed different from the last times he was here. He ventured deeper into the cave and found many inscriptions etched into the wall in an alphabet he had never seen before. It seemed as though they served to tell a story, if anything. He wondered what the words could possibly mean and if it could possibly hold any useful information for Rionia.

He reached Lusha's throne room in what seemed to be no time at all. It was a dimly lit hall of stone and the glare of vicious hounds of all sorts glared at Kai from the darkness. However, there was one glare more intimidating than all the rest. A pair of bright yellow eyes that held solid and intense eye contact in the darkness. Despite how heated the stare was, it somehow managed to send chills of cold wind down Kai's spine.

"What do you seek from me?" Lusha asked as he stood from his throne and stepped into the light.

"Amon said you'd have more Hounds ready for him today," he explained.

"That fool does not comprehend that I cannot just keep giving him my hounds. My perfect genetic breeding takes time," he said as he slammed his foot into the ground causing a fairly large indentation.

"Yes, we know and I apologise on his behalf but this is the last time, Sir Lusha."

"I sure as Hell hope it is!" Lusha fiercely growled as he used his sharp claws to draw a summoning circle on the hard, stone floor. In the middle of the circle there lied a drawing of a wolf that began to glow with Lusha's signature golden aura.

A golden portal opened from it as hound after hound was released from their magical detainement.

"These 15 wolves are my most aggressive to date. I've trained them to follow the instructions of those who've been decided to be their master."

"Thank you, Sir Lusha," Kai thanked timidly. "You can expect never to receive another request again."

"I would certainly hope not. I've been swamped with requests by you fools for years. My patience wears thin," he explained as he took his seat on his throne once more. "Now scram, pup!"

With that, Kai hurriedly left the throne room and began the walk home, followed by the hounds who violently barked upon each step they took.

Was this all he'd ever amount to in his current life? Being a mere errand boy for a homicidal parent murderer?

"No. I won't allow this." Through gritted teeth, Kai began to speak once more. "I don't care how long it takes... Amon, the tables will turn... Amon... you're going to die."
