Chapter 5

Sorry for the long wait!! I had really bad Writers block, then I got busy with work and life and all the stuff that goes with it. But here is the Update I promised you!! Again I am so sorry for the long wait!!

Once we were almost to the interstate, I turn and ask him quietly "How did you find me?" he looks at me then back at the road, his long hair falls over his shoulder, "you don't exactly have common markings for a wolf, and all I had to do was follow my senses and once I figured out where you where I called for backup, because I knew your father wouldn't let you go willingly" he says as he checks the rearview mirror.

I keep my eyes on him, my hormones going crazy at how handsome he is, I turn my head back to the road in front of us as my wolf sighs contently and says, "the great mother did good with this one" I mentally scoff at her "he killed Emmet for absolutely no reason" I remind her and she just growls at me "he's our mate, you should forgive him for it, you don't know the whole story, just that our mate and Emmet where there together, not if he actually did it." I put up the mental block up to shut her up and pull out my headphones from my purse, put them in my ears and pressed play on my phone, the voice of Brian from IPrevail singing about his ex-girlfriend in Love, Lust and Liars.

I press the home button on my phone and open up the Facebook app, I scroll through my newsfeed for a while but seeing all the posts from my pack just made me homesick so I exit out of there and open up the Wattpad app on my phone and got lost in the stories that other people have written, before I know it my eyes start to feel heavy, and I hear Gabriel chuckle before darkness pulled me into its depths.

I was brushing my pony Sky for the next event which was pole bending when Emmet ran up to me with my show clothes in one hand and my boots in the other, "mom says to go get ready and ill tack sky up for you." He says as he hands me my stuff, I smile at him and run off towards our trailer to go change, once I come out sky is being walked over by my brother, I grab the reins from Emmet and mount my horse, Emmet walks beside me as I go over to the arena and wait my turn to go.

I was the third competitor to go I kicked sky into a gallop down the poles and we start to weave our way in and out of them when I heard a sickening snap and a squeal of agony- I jerk awake out of the dream feeling like I'm going to puke, I get up and hurry to where my bathroom is only to run into a wall, I get sick where I'm at and fall to the floor getting sick again before I heard the door open and I feel arms around me picking me up and set me down in the bathroom where I get sick over the toilet and someone holding my hair back.

After I get done I just lean against the bathtub and put my head back against the coldness of the tub. I open my eyes when I feel a cool cloth being put on my forehead expecting it to be my mother's eyes, instead I see Green eyes and black hair, I groan and say "I'm so sorry, ill clean it up as soon as I'm able to move properly" I close my eyes again as he says "no need, that's what beta's are for." Next thing I hear is a male voice say "she hasn't even been here for a whole day and she's already getting sick, gods this is gross!" I start to crack a smile and chuckle but I feel the nauseous feeling right before you throw up and I hurry and put my face over the toilet and get sick again, this time however I feel better and I flush the toilet, and turn around to see Gabriel with a water bottle, and my toothbrush and toothpaste in his hands, I grab the water bottle and rinse my mouth out, then grab the toothbrush and toothpaste, I start to brush my teeth as he says, "I seen what happened in your dream" I stop and look over at him, he meets my eyes his face serious, "I see you riding and that freak accident, the one where your Pony broke one of its legs, I couldn't see what happened next because you woke up." He states as I rinse my mouth of the toothpaste. "when Sky went down, I was trapped under her, I broke my leg in four places, my arm, and a few ribs because of the way I hit the ground, but I didn't care about me all I cared about was if sky was going to be alright, I heard the vet say that he was going to put her down as I was being dragged out from under her, the next part is a blur but I remember this clearly, I seen him pull out a needle and stick it in my pony, when I woke up in the hospital my mom was there, and she told me that Sky went to be with the Great Mother." I told him not looking him in the eyes,

"but why did you wake up and get ill? Your not pregnant with another wolfs cub are you?" he growled the last part, I look back up at him and I knew there was fire in my eyes, "Last time I checked I was still a virgin thank you very much and I feel ghost pains from that accident it makes me sick you asshole" I spat at him and go out of the bathroom into the bedroom, I look around the room for my duffle bag and laptop but neither are anywhere to be found, I seen movement to my right and there was a guy he had yellow rubber gloves on as he was picking up the rug that I got sick on, he stopped what he was doing when he felt eyes on him and he looked up, he was a few years older than me id say mid 20swith dirty blonde hair, and brown eyes.

I stomp over to him and ask angrily "where is my stuff?" he opened his mouth to answer me when I heard a voice behind me "I had them put into your room, since you're not comfortable with me...yet you're staying in one of the guest rooms," I turn around from the guy to Gabriel "well take me there, I'd like to unpack my things" I say, he smirks and walks out of the room I follow him out into a hallway.

I go down it following Gabriel as he turns and goes to the first door on the left, he opens it and steps in, I step into the room and I have to hold back a gasp of shock, the room has the log cabin rustic look to it, it is gorgeous, I see my duffle bag, laptop case on the bed and my purse on the dresser, I walk over to them and not looking up I say "thanks"

"If you need anything let me know, I programmed my number into your phone so just text me" he says as he exits the room and closes the door, I throw my duffle bag on the ground and unzip my laptop from the bag, open it and turn it on, I open the door thinking he can't walk away that fast, I stick my head out the door but no one is in sight, I shrug and close my door and walk over to the dresser, getting my phone from my purse, I scroll through my contacts looking for his contact name, when I find it I quickly send him a message

S:If you have wifi what is your wifi password?

G:the Password is my phone number

S: thanks

I set down my phone, look up his number on my phone, and I type in the password, then I open up my photo editing program and pull up the photo I was editing before the attack happened on my old pack, I looked at the photo and I couldn't look at it anymore so I exited out of that and went to another photo to edit.

I soon shut my laptop with a sigh, I couldn't concentrate on editing right now, so I look at my phone and check the time, its only about 3:30 pm and I look out the window, I got an idea, so I got my professional camera from a secret pocket in my duffle bag that I added myself, I grabbed my phone and opened the door to find Gabriel outside with his hand raised about to knock on the door.

We both looked at each other shocked but he smirked and crossed his arms, "and where do you think you're going little wolf?" he asked looking down at me, I glared at him and said "I'm going outside obviously" I said to him and tried to push past him, but he didn't even move "and what is that around your neck?" he asked pointing at my camera "it's called a camera, I'm taking college photography classes, since I graduated high school two years early and I need to get an assignment done, so if you can move out of the way that would be helpful with me getting closer to getting this done" I told him looking him in the eyes, he gave another smirk and raised an eyebrow at me, then he took a step back into the hallway, I stepped out and closed the door to my bedroom I started walking away when his voice cut through the silence, "you're going the wrong way, if you want to go outside"

I stopped in my tracks and turned around walking in the other direction, he steps in my way so I run into him, he looks down at me with a smirk I step around him and head down the hallway, I turn to go down some steps when I see my reflection in a mirror, my black hair was in a messy bun on my head, my eyes had bags under then from the stress of being separated from my family, my clothes looked rumpled and I just looked horrible but I shrug my shoulders and start walking down the steps when I heard footsteps from behind me, "I have some business to attend to stay in sight of the house, ill give you a tour if the territory tomorrow" Gabriel said as he stepped passed me and down the hallway "and if you go straight you'll come to glass doors that lead out to the yard" I scoffed and went down the stairs to try to find the glass doors so I can finally get outside and hopefully to find some wildlife to take photos of and hopefully get my mind off me not being with my family.
