The darkness of my heart is too much to bare
Opportunity after opportunity destroyed into ash
Of what once was my wishes and desires
How can one's heart survive in such a way?
The constant beat down of a world full of dreams and chances
Escape not a possibility as the darkness binds you in shackles
One can only ask for this pain to stop
So my tears can finally become dry
And my life can be where it needs to be
That's when I remembered.....
God has a plan for each of us
Though understanding is little, He knows what's best
My heart longs for the light
God's light and a love that is unconditional
How can a God be so loving with all of this destruction my heart causes
Both to myself and others surrounding me?
That is true love, unfailing love
Love that breaks these shackles of darkness
A darkness that will never win me over
The tears of sadness are now tears of joy
My life is where God wants it to be
That's all that should matter
