The Threat

ALTHEUS's POV

The Goddesses are here at the Flores Mansion. Why? Because Tita Amy called us saying that Cloe's already home. We've been looking for her for almost 5 years. She just left us with a note saying:

"Don't worry about me. I'm gonna be fine. I just need some breathing. Don't look after me. --Cloe"

Who do you think on their right mind wouldn't look after their loved ones who's gone missing for 5 effin' years??!!

I saw her walking down the stairs. I think the girls saw her, too. She settled on the couch in front of us and said, "Uhm.. Hi?"

"Explain", I told her. Coldly.

"W-what?", she innocently asked.

"You crazy girl! 5 years kang nawala tapos "what"? Eh kung sabunutan kaya kita?" Khazi.

She's the one who really panicked when we lost connections with Cloe. Kahit ganyan yan, she loves Cloe so much. Hindi sya vocal but you can see from her actions that she really treat her like her own sister. Well, we all treat each other as a sister but their relationship is like they came from the same womb at the same time.

"S-sorry." Cloe said habang nakayuko. I can tell that she's about to cry.

"Just tell us everything happened that night and we'll listen.", Bettina said. Mukha lang syang kalmado pero sya sa aming tatlo ang naghire ng investigator para lang mahanap si Cloe but she failed. She didn't saw her.

"I'm not ready yet. It's still painful.", and she burst out. Her nose is so red and you can see in her eyes that she's really in pain up until now.

"Haaay. Girl its ok. We're all here for you.", Khazi said.

"But where have been these passed 5 years?", I butted in.

"Korea."

"Kwento naman girl!!! What did you do there? Alam mo bang pinahanap ka pa ni B sa mga investigators para lang malaman namin kung nasaan ka at kung ayos ka lang?", Khazi asked.

"Hindi nyo talaga ako mahahanap 'cause I used my mother's surname.", she explained while wiping her tears. Medyo natatawa pa sya because of Khazi's expression.

"Kaya naman pala. Ano naman nangyari sa'yo sa Korea?", I curiously asked.

"Wala naman. I just kept myself busy with CAF and its expansions."

*silence*

Wait! Don't tell me?!

"Oh.. My.. Gosh.. Don't tell me you're the famous 'Ms.A' there. The Mall Magnate.!!" Bettina blurted out!

"How'd you know about that?" Cloe asked.

"Hello!!! Wake up girl!!! The 'Mysterious Ms. A' is famous all around the globe!! And I can't believe that Ms.A is my long lost bestfriend!!! Ohh gosh!!!!" Bettina exhaggerately stated. Feeling ko hihimatayin pa sya, eh. HaHaHaHa

She really idolized that masked magnate. Even me could not believe that. She's just 20 and very successful! Hindi pa sya tapos ng college nyan, ha! What more if she finishes her studies. I guess being broken made her a better one.

I really need to know what happened that night. Even him didn't want to speak up.

You better hide now twinnie. The moment I knew the truth, I swear, I'll punch you hard on the face!

DRIX's POV

"Hey dude!" LJ tapped my shoulders.

"Pre! Don't tell me hanggang ngayon siya pa din?" Sean retorted.

I am currently drinking at the bar counter here at Lexus' Night. Still thinking where the heck I could find her.

It's been what? 4? 5 years? And I still don't know where is she! Did I really hurt her so bad that night for her to run away and leave us? me?

"Ano ba talagang nangyari?" Lex asked.

"Yeah. You've changed a lot after you and C have locked up."Sean said.

"And when we say a lot, it means A LOT. Hindi ka na namin nakitang nambabae a week after." LJ added.

*deep sigh* I guess I really need to share to them what really happened.

"I've been a total asshole to her. Bigtime!" I started.

***flashback 6 years ago***

*kriiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!!*

*crasshh!!!*

Aish! Crazy little sister! I already told her that I won't go to school today. First day pa lang naman at for sure wala namang gagawin pa. Kainis!

*yaaaaawwwwnnn!!*

Haay! Makapasok na nga lang.

*30 minutes later

(Lex calling...)

"Where are you man?", Lex said. Wala man lang 'hello'. Kupal talaga.

"I'm here at the parking lot. Kakadating ko lang. Saan ko kayo pupuntahan?"

"Cafeteria bro! Daming chicks! Hahahahaha!", Sean. Manyak talaga nito kahit kailan.

"Bilisan mo na bro! Baka maubusan ka! Hahahahahahahaha!", LJ. Saya ng mga gago. First day kasi.

Hindi na ako nagsalita. I just ended the call and went straight to the cafeteria.

I found them sitting on our usual spot ---- our 'thrones'. Well, we won't be called 'The Gods' for nothing. We have the looks, the power, and the brains. So I guess we deserve that so called thrones.

I went to the counter to get my usual breakfast. Hindi naman kami tamad para ipagawa pa sa iba ang mga bagay na kaya naman namin. Well, minsan kapag natripan lang ng barkada. But most of the times, hindi kami nag-uutos sa iba.

After I paid my meals, I headed my way to our thrones. Then suddenly....

A clumsy, stupid girl bumped to me and spilled every single thing from my tray to my shirt. Sh*t! This is my favorite shirt for effin' sake! Granny's last gift to me before she followed Gramps.

And what angered me more is that, tinitigan lang nya yung shirt ko. Kainis!

*After 2 minutes of silence*

"Oh.. My.. Gosh.. I'm so sorry! It was all my fault! I didn't mean to. I'm sorry!. Sorry!. Sorry!." She said while wiping my white shirt with her white hanky.

"Stop doing that! It'll just smudge the stain!" I shouted. "Do you think your sorry will take away these stains? Can it wash my shirt clean?"

"Drix! Stop shouting at her. She's a girl. She's new here. Show some respect. And besides, she already said sorry. Can you at least just accept it and go change?" Alth said. So kilala nya pala itong babaeng 'to. Are they that close for her to defend her from me?

"I don't care if she's a girl. And I don't even care if she's new here. As long as her sorry can make me neat, then I'll accept it."

"That's impossible!!"

"Then same with me! I. Will. Never. Accept. Her. Apology." I said, moved forward, then bumped Alth's shoulder. I stopped in front of the girl and said. "THESEUS DRIX MONCIER. Remember that name and this face. Noone messes up with me and get away with it." I bumped her, causing her to fall, and went straight to my car.

I heared the gods called me but I didn't bother to look back. I'm so pissed right now and all I want is to change and wash my shirt.

She'll pay for this! Mababaw na kung mababaw, but I swear! She'll never get away from this.

Reminiscing our first meeting makes me smile. She never failed to make me smile since that very faithful day.
