"Be careful"."Yes mum I will be".
"Make sure you didn't forget anything".
"Yes mum I didn't".
"Make sure to come visit".
"Yes mum, it's not like I'm moving far away".
"Aish it's cold wear a jacket".
"It's okay mum... It's pretty warm right now".
"Geez just wear it," mum said with tears in her eyes and a trench coat in her arms being overly dramatic.
"Okay.." I leaned down so she could reach and placed the coat over me.
"Mum, dad I'll be leaving now," I said with a reassuring smile.
My parents waved me off and I dragged my two luggage away. Mum was bawling of course and dad tried comforting her. The scene looked as if they were to never see me again, it was dramatic except I'm the character not knowing how to respond.
"So I'm finally independent.."
Life is good~ I have a good family, one good friend and a new school which I would be attending next week. Yea I know, one friend but it's more like quality over quantity.
I waited for a taxi and arrived at my new apartment almost an hour later.
"That'll be...."
I paid and hopped off the taxi. My new apartment complex looks exactly as I have imagined it. Sleek and modern. The rent is.. payable not impossible. But I'll soon find a job so it's fine, it's worth it.
With overflowing excitement I dragged my two luggage and strolled towards the building.
Even the lift amazes me, the shine on the metal, the ding sound as I hop inside, "let's see.. Level 8?".
Whilst waiting I couldn't help but admire how clean the mirrors are or how relaxing the walls and floors are, it's like black coal coloured in stone form, so relaxing. I stared into the mirror a little.
*ding*
*clack clack*
I turned around on impulse and see someone wearing all black as he press the button.
"Wait- Sorry I need to get off," I tried to say in a hurry.
"Then why didn't you narcissist?" he replied with a cold tone. Is he having a bad day?... What an off-putting attitude for a pretty face.
"I'm getting off now," I said in an equal annoyance and coldness. He doesn't have to comment like that.
I hurried off. "Let's see.. Number 8 a?"
I got out my apartment card and beeped it on the door scanner.
"Enter the PIN number indicated on your registry card and proceed to set your fingerprint and passcode...."
I did as told and placed my thumb bud gently on the scanner. Once there was a beep I turned the handle open. I love this technology.
It smells.. Like a new house, I can't explain but it has this calming wood scent, something you would inhale until your lung capacity gives up from the inhaling. It's going to take a week for the delivery of my wardrobes and things and I have to built them from scratch. Which sucks.
At least I moved a new fridge, washing machine and some tables and chairs beforehand. I got kitchen utensils and machinery and some cooking products but food is out of question.
"Better go late night shopping.."
I exited the house again before a woof of the new welcoming scent invades me nostrils, I can't get over the smell.
Supermarket wasn't far, just a 5 minute walk from where I live. I skipped through the coldness with my hands in my coat. Once I reached the supermarket I took a trolley and pushed my way along each lane.
"Oh! broccoli"
I pushed towards the green vegetables when I see the guy from the elevator. Mr rude or too fab for you. But since I'm a nice person I won't keep that in my mind. "Hello, I see you're here shopping too?" I said with a smile.
.....
He placed 2 carrots into his basket and just walked pass me like I'm a pole. I stood frozen in the same position. Did he just ignored me.. I guess I shouldn't interact with him, he doesn't seem to like me very much.. But still how rude.
Some more shopping later, I proceeded to pay at the counter. There he is again, Mr too fab for you is standing there staring into space. I'm pretty sure he's planning on how to kill his enemies and set trees on fire.
I decided not to walk over to his lane but the others are just too long and my stomach is rumbling. Aish guess I'll just have to go.
He started shifting down the lane as another person's things were slowly getting scanned and bagged.
Just a little curious, I looked at the things he's buying. Ramen, ramen, ramen, energy drink, energy drink, two carrots, eggs and chips. Is that what he eats? Ramen? Sodium? Sugar?
Shaking my head I decided not to look into him so much before he pesters me again. Well too late, he spots me and did the 'tsk' sound. "Stalker.." he mumbled and I was on fire like the ramen flavour he has.
"I'M NOT STALKING YOU," I yelled out so loud people were turning heads and some eldery were holding onto theirs hearts which I kept apologising for.
I glared at him before slamming the things I brought down. "Miss.. Can you place them gently? You will pay for breakage if you continue further" I hear the cashier say.
"Sorry.." Ahhh all this is because of that jerk.
"Heh.. he he," I hear someone snicker. Wait.. Did he just laugh? His hand was covering his mouth, is he laughing? I can't believe this.
"You'll regret this.." I mumbled.
He turned around with a poker face for a good 3 seconds in his black hoodie hovering his head doing a stare contest with me before turning his head 180 degrees back.
What's his problem?
The moment he paid he was like sprinting away.
Urgh I hope I don't see him again.
