chapter 2

Present day.

(mikeys pov)

As we sat at this beautiful outdoor café I saw a stunning girl walking down the street. I could tell she had a story behind her but I didn't know what. Oddly I was interested. As I took a slow bite from my biscuit in front of me the boys followed my gaze. Luke realized who I was looking at and laughed. "um do you not know who that is mate?" After the puzzled face rectified my answer he smiled. "that's Nicole. The girl that you made her life a living hell 3 years ago. You know the so called ugly one no one liked. Yeah she's turned her life around. The last thing I ever heard from her was 'i don't see why he hasn't just killed me yet' " he said in a slightly girly voice. "that's how much of a hell you made her life. She kept going though. I wouldn't try and get back in her life if I were you." I pondered the thought oh well. Maybe she won't recognize us. I whistled called her name and ducked out of view.

She came closer and boy did she look gorgeous. Luke rolled his eyes and I knew he would cover for me. "heyyy, um do you remember us?" Ashton asked trying to make it not awkward. She looked deep into their eyes and laughed. "yes, you're 3 out of the 4 boys from 5SOS or 5 seconds of summer. Which ever you are going by." She said with a chuckle. I smiled. She had actually remembered us. "soooo why did you call me over?" She asked a little confused.

Luke stood up and wrote something on a piece of a napkin. "before you say no just talk it through. Text that number now and you'll find out who it is." I wanted to cry. My sound was on. The ding of my phone gave it away. I stood up and smiled shyly. After I graduated by the skin of my teeth I became the shy one. I was insecure about everything. I hated it but it was the true me. The ass hole stage was not me and I don't even know where it came from.

As her magnificent smile turned sour I felt like crying. She punched me. I knew I deserved it. The boys laughed but I just sat down. I looked at her and worriedly smiled fell upon my face. "one day. You spend one day with me. If you can't stand me still after then you can go about your normal life. I just want one more chance to show the real Mikey." As the words flew off my tongue I looked up at her sweetly. I think she could tell my change of heart but she was still was very uneasy.

"You have one day. One day to impress me. After that time is up I will see if I even want to be friends." she picked up a napkin and wrote Herr number and address on it. "Be at my house at 9. Unless you want to start your day earlier." she said with a laugh as she headed to walk off. "thank you for giving my mate a second chance. I promise he's changed." Luke said hugging her. She smiled hugged him back and was on her way.

(Nicole's POV)

What had they talked me into. Michael was the last person I had wanted to spend the day with. They say that he's changed and I'm hoping he really has. As I drifted asleep I was terrified to find out what was in store for tomorrow.

I awoke to my alarm, it was 7:30. Shortly after I received a phone call from Michaels phone. I almost didn't answer but I decided today could be fun. "I'll be there at 8:30 be ready. Dress comfortably and wear actual shoes." before I had time to answer he had hung up. I got up and headed for the shower. When I got out I tossed on some what shorts, a bright green tank top and a dark blue crop top. As 8:30 rolled around I left a note on the table to my dad and nervously waited. As I heard his car roll up I stepped outside to see him holding the passenger door open. I couldn't help but smile at his charm.

When I got in the car he smiled. "thanks for giving me a chance." he said sitting down and starting up the car. I nodded and stared out the window. I knew he wouldn't tell me where we were going so I wasn't going to ask. After about 10 minutes he turned on the radio. I tuned it out and just wanted to get out of the car. When we pulled up to a parking lot he looked at me and ran to get my door. As he opened it he smiled and looked deeply into my eyes. "you look gorgeous." I smiled and stood up. I soon realized that we were at an amusement park I kind of cheered up.

Michael. Oh Michael. I hated to say it but I was starting to fall for him and his charming ways. As we made our way through we didn't really talk until we got to the line for the first rollercoaster. "so after this how about we go get a snack and talk." I smiled I couldn't say no to him. he had really changed. He had gone back to his natural brownish blonde hair color. he seemed to keep the blue but it was lighter. He was sweet and down to earth like the rest of them. When made it to the front of the line I was nervous to get on. He noticed and wrapped his arms around my waist. "you've got this." he said with his normal lovely smile as he kissed my cheek. I smiled and jumped on. At the end of the day I was definitely going to tell him he could a million other dates. I think he could tell. He giggled his adorable laugh at the ride took off.

As the sun was going down at the end of the day I honestly didn't want to leave him. He had won me 3 stuffed animals in little game areas and he had started to win my heart. As he dropped me off he pulled me in and whispered in my ear. "today was great. Call me tomorrow." he kissed my cheek and with that he was gone. I stood in the door way kind of in awe as my dad asked me how my day was I blushed and said great as I headed up to my room.

Right as I was falling asleep he texted me 'goodnight beautiful. I hope you had as good of a day as I had.' I smiled and before I could realize it I was drifting into a deep sleep
