My New Life

Chapter 2

Once I pulled up into the drive way, I noticed that no one was home 'like always' I walk inside the house. As I make my way into the kitchen I notice a note sitting on the counter, it read,

Maddie we are gonna be gone for the next week or so, we had to attend another business meeting in London. I left you $200 dollars for you to spend. Your aunt Sarah is gonna come by and check on you on Wednesday. We love and we'll see u soon. Mom and Dad xxx

Great another damn business trip, guess I have the whole place for myself. I grab the money and head upstairs. Once I enter my room, I put the money on the counter and throw my bag on my bed. I grab my sweats and tank top from my bed and change out of my uniform and into my comfy clothes. I enter my connected bathroom and start taking of my makeup.

As I'm taking it off I hear a scratch from my room door. I set my wipe down and wash my face. I dry my face and quietly make way into my room, the scratches get louder and louder. I grab the closes thing to me and I see its my bat 'yes I have a bat, I use to play softball when I was younger' I open my door and I see no one, I look down and I see it's Toby my puppy. 'weird I didn't see him when I got home' I throw my bat aside and reach down to pick him up. "Hi boy, you scared me, I didn't see you when I got home." I tell the dog. He barks and licks my face. "Okay okay I miss you too baby" I say as I set him on my bed. I look at the clock by my bed and see its 4pm.

I decide to take a shower since Cara will be here in a hour. Instead of texting me the address, she's coming over. I walk into my bathroom and turn on the water.

-15 mins later-

Once I'm done showering I go into my room and walk toward my drawers. I pull out a pair of panties and a bra, i put them on and throw on the tank top and sweats I was wearing earlier. I hop on my bed and watch some cartoons in the mean time. 45 mins later I hear the door bell ring, I get up from my bed and make my way to open the door. I open the door and see Cara their.

"Hey girl!" She says hugging me.

"Hi" I tell her stepping aside to let her inside the house.

"Are you hungry" I ask as I make my way into the kitchen.

"When am I not" She tells me laughing as she walks to the fridge to get out things to make a sandwich.

After we eat we make way to my room. She throws herself on my bed, Toby coming and laying on her chest.

We start getting ready for the party.

We finish getting ready. Cara has on a two piece and I on the other hand have on a love v-neck dress that reaches to my knee and is flowy.

For our make-up I have on a simple smokey eye, same as Cara. Our hair and shoes are different, she has on black silhouettes and her hair is in loose curls. I have on nude wedges on and my hair is curled but is half up half down.

We get into the car and head towards our destination.

I hope I made the right choice.
