I stand in my closet looking for something to wear. A dress preferably. Why may you ask? Well because Declan asked me out on a date. I'm so nervous.
I look and look until I find a two piece (pic above) the skirt has an open in the front. The shirt or whatever you wanna call it, is a v-neck.
I match that and a pair of black sandals I have. I do my makeup simple, my hair in lose curls.
As I finish my hair, someone rings the door bell, I go downstairs and open the door, their stood Declan looking handsome as ever.

He wore a black suit with a white dress shirt under it. His hair was styled into a quiff. He also had a bouquet of flowers in his hand. I step to the side and let him in.
"Wow you look amazingly beautiful." He tells me as he enters and hands me the flowers.
"Why thank you very much, as goes to you Decs." I tell him as I set the flowers on the counter, I'll need to put them in a vase.
"No problem love, should we get going?" He asks.
"Yeah, let me get get my keys and phone." I grab them and we head out. I lock the door and walk to his car.
He opens the door like the gentlemen he is, I tell him thank you. He shuts the door and makes his way to his side of the car. He starts the car and we leave.
"Where are we going?" I ask him as I play around with the radio.
"You're gonna have to wait, its a surprise." He says looking at me quickly then looks back to the road.
"Can you at least give me a hint?" I tell him.
"Nope." He says smiling. It goes on like this for a while. Before I knew it we are here. He parks the car and gets out, he comes to my side and opens the door for me. I step out.
He closes the door and we walk inside. We walk inside the restaurant.
"I hope you like Italian." He tells me. I say I like it.
"Ciao, Benvenuto a Vigilucci's." The host greets us.
"Ciao, ho una prenotazionecon il nome di Porter." (Hello, I have a reservation under the name of Porter) He says in Italian I believe.
"Ah, Sì, in questo modo si prega" (Yes, this way please) He says as he leads the way. As we are walking, I look around and I'm in awe at the scenery. Lights hung above each table, vases with flowers on each one.
He leads us to a more secluded place. He sets our menus down and tells us the waiter will arrive shortly. I look at the menu deciding on what I want to get.
"Welcome to Vigilucci's. I'll be your server for tonight, can I get you started on anything to drink?" Ask the elderly woman.
"I'll have some of your finest wine." Declan tells the women.
"I'll have an iced tea with lemon please." I say to her.
"Alright, are you guys ready to order as well." She says.
"Not yet, we are still looking." Declan tells her
"Okay then, your drink should arrive shortly." She says then walks away. I look through the menu and decide to order Fettuccine Alfredo pasta.
Declan and I converse with one another until our drinks come.
He was telling me about his brother when our drinks arrived.
"Here is one iced tea with lemon." She hands sets it in front of me. "Wine for you." She tells Declan.
"OK ready to order?" She asks as she takes out her notepad.
"Yes, I'll have the Fettuccine Alfredo pasta with a side salad. Then looks at me.
"I'll have the same thing as him as well." I tell her handing her out menus.
"Ok two Fettuccine Alfredo pasta with a side salad, anything else?"
"No that'll be all." He says with a smile.
"Ok I'll be right out with that." She says then walk away to a different table.
"Tell me about yourself." He says once she leaves.
"I'm 18 years old, I'm a senior in high school, I like to read and listen to music, I have a puppy named Toby." I tell him and he just had that look of adoration on his face.
"What type of music do you listen to?"
"I listen to pop, latin, rap, hip hop and R&B music but mainly pop and latin." I tell him.
The waitress comes with our food rather quickly. We dig in as she leaves, we make small talk while eating our food. 'This is so delicious'
Soon Julie who is the waitresses name comes with the check as soon as we were done eating.
Declan paid and we left. We get to his car, he opens the car door for me. I smile at him. He goes to his side of the and gets in. He starts the car and we take off.
"Thank you for dinner Declan." I tell him.
"Anything for you Maddie." He says and looks at me quickly before looking back to the road.
We sit silence but not the awkward kind the comfortable kind.
"How would you like to accompany me on a walk?" He asks me. I look at him questionably, then I notice the car comes to a stop.
I look out the window and see we are at the beach.
"Yes I would love too." I tell him.
He gets out of the car and comes to my side and opens the car door. I step out, he closes the door and locks the car.
We walk down by the shore, sandals in one hand, my other hand interlocked with Declan's hand. His hand is so big and soft and warm, compared to my hand.
We talk and walk some more before we sit on a bench. I rest my head on his shoulder while he wraps his arms around me.
Declan's P.O.V
This girl will be the death of me. I know we've only known each other for a little bit, but I feel this attraction and the need to protect her.
I look down and see she had fallen asleep. I look at the time and see it's getting late. I pick her up and begin to walk back to the car. I unlock the car, open her side and set her in gentle. I buckle her up. I make way to my side.
I start to make my way home. I pull up into my driveway. I get out the car. I go to her side and take her out. I walk to my door and unlock it. I get inside and close my door with my foot.
I walk upstairs to my room. I move my covers back and lay her down. I grab one of my shirts and sweatpants, I begin to change her into them. I tie her hair into a bun and then pull the covers over her.
I go into my closet and change quickly, I do my business and exit the bathroom and go and lay down next to her. I wrap my arms around her.
I whisper her a quick goodnight and kiss her forehead, then I turn the lights off.
