Chapter 3:Secrets

As I walked in the room, I looked around and everything looked so futuristic. A tall sturdy man walked up to me and said "Hello Nova it is a pleasure to meet you, you've grown so much sense the last time I saw you." "Wait? What?" I said. " I'll explain, but first let me introduce you to the team." " I bet you already my daughter Skye, this is Jemma, our science expert, May is our medical expert, Duncan is our computer and tech specialist, and my name is Jack." "Nova you know you look so much like your parents." "Wait, how do you know my parents?" I said. "Nova, me, a guy named John and your parents were scientists and we were working on a project. This project was time traveling. As we finished the project we were going to use it for good, but John thought different he wanted   to use it for evil and destroy Earth's timeline so that he could rule the world. John always hated your parents and I never knew why. John tried to escape through the the portal, but your parents managed to stop him before he went through. But something was wrong the portal was just a prototype and wasn't tested yet. The dark matter in the core was overloading and was going to explode. Your parents told me to take you out of the building and as I was running out John was running after me, but as I ran out of the room your parents shut the doors and locked them before he could get me. I heard John yell at your parents saying this " If I make out of here alive, I will destroy everything you love, including your son, I will have my revenge!" "John managed to escape, but as your was trying to escape to the engulfed up in flames and exploded." "I thought they died in a car crash?" I said. "That was said only to protect you." Jack said. "Now we'll continue tomorrow, your room is down the hall on the left. See you tomorrow." Jack said.
