Ricky's POV

Of all the things that could of happened tonight, I did not expect to be helping a guy who had just had the crap beaten out of him into a bar.
Chris had been the one to hear the guy, or Devin as I learnt, whimpering from an small alley down the side of the bar we were heading to and like the hero Chris was he ran to his rescue with Angelo close behind. I couldn't help but follow them but I was too small to be any use in a fight so I focused on helping the bruised goth that had been curled up on the ground.

"What the fuck?!" Someone yelled as we entered the bar with Devin, causing me to jump in surprise.

The person who had yelled was a man who looked around our age with a shaved tattooed head showing under a beanie, gauges, angel bite piercings and his eyes wide and angry as he looked towards us. The man ran towards Devin, clearly worried about him and immediately took over and held the other up himself then guided him over to a booth where a guy with long dark hair was making room for Devin to be set down.

Slipping out of the booth, the long haired guy jogged towards us, "What happened to Devin?" He seemed calmer than the other but I could still see anger in his eyes as he glared at us.

"We heard him being beaten up by an asshole outside-" I began but the guy kinda scared me so voice was shaky and quiet. Luckily, Chris took over.

"Me and Angelo went and beat the shit out of the guy," he said, gesturing to Angelo who was shyly holding onto his boyfriend's arm, "And Ricky here calmed Devin down and helped him up before we brought him in here as he asked."

The guy's eyes scanned over us, trying to judge whether we were lying or not. Finally, his expression softened and he sighed. "Thanks for helping him, this isn't the first time this has happened to him..." I really didn't want to think about Devin's delicate face covered in bruises often.

Chris smiled sympathetically, "We're glad to help. It's a good thing we decided to force Ricky to socialise out of his house or we never would of found Devin." I scowled at Chris for mentioning my antisocialness but he just ignored me, his gaze remained on the long haired guy. "I'm Chris, by the way and as I've already said, clingy on my arm is Angelo and short stuff there is Ricky."

"It's good to meet you, I'm Ryan." He smiled then gestured over to the booth, "Obviously you've met Devin and the one fussing over him is Balz."

I glanced over at the pair, watching as Balz gently ran his fingers through the other's hair as Devin leant against his chest, visably relaxing at last. "Are they together?" I couldn't help but ask Ryan, I was too curious.

Ryan chuckled and shrugged, "I'm not even sure anymore. Balz has liked Devin for years but Devin's shitty past relationships means he rarely ever has romantic relationships but they sometimes make out in bathrooms when drunk but both play it off like nothing happened the next morning."

"I'm not sure who to feel sorry for more" I replied, frowning.

Chris nodded, "Kinda sad really."

Ryan shrugged and looked back at us, in particular Chris and Angelo. "Are you guys together?" He asked, trying to brighten the mood a bit.

Chris' grin then grew, he was so proud of his relationship and he moved his long arm so it was wrapped around Angelo's shoulders. "I've been with this beautiful man for what, 3 years?"

Angelo's cheeks turned pink but he leaned into Chris' side anyway, "3 years 4 months." Standing on his toes, he pressed his lips quickly to his tall boyfriend's.

Ryan smiled at how they were but I groaned at the sight, I just wished I could have something like that as well but no one would ever want to date a piece of crap like me.

"Do you guys wanna go join them over there? I'll buy you drinks to say thanks." Ryan asked but didn't give us much chance to respond as he had already approached the bar counter.

Me and Angelo followed Chris timidly as he led us to the booth. "Hey!" he said, his smile charming towards Balz who was clearly unsure about us. "Mind if we sit with you?" Balz nodded and went back to checking over the bruises on Devin's skin which I assumed was pale and spotless on a normal day.

We slid into the seats across the pair. My eyes looked locking with Devin's as he looked up from the wooden surface. Smiling a little, my fingers knotted together shyly on my lap, stealing a few glances of Devin who's eyes also seemed to be following me. Even though I hated how we found him, fuck I was pleased I got to meet and now sit with the gorgeous man.
