Devin's POV

I suddenly sat up on the bed with a silent scream, hot tears streaming down my cheeks. The nightmares had returned and now my heart was thudding in my chest, feeling as if it was going to burst out. My body shook as I began sobbing. God, I was pathetic.

Balz mumbled and his eyes slowly opened then glanced up at me, looking sympathetic. "Nightmare, Ghosty?"

My only response was nodding, unable to stop the tears. His hand gripped my wrist and he pulled me down to lie with him, wrapping his arms around me in a hug. I pressed my face against his chest until my breathing slowed and the tears stopped. I've lost count on the amount of times I've ended up doing this.

There was a knock on the door, followed by Ryan speaking, "Hey Dev, that guy Ricky is on your phone asking for you."

Sniffling, I pulled back from Balz who sighed and released his hold on me. "Thank you..." I whispered to him, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek before getting up off the bed and rushing to the door. Ryan held the phone out to me once I had opened the door, not even questioning the little amount of clothing and being in Balz's room. Ryan slipped past me into the room and jumped on the bed next to Balz who just groaned and covered his face with his arm.

I held my phone up to my ear, excited to hear from the small goth, even though my throat was raw from crying so it hurt to speak. "Hello?"

"Devin? Hi! It's me, Ricky."

I giggled. "Yeah, I know, Ryan told me." Wandering over to the mirror, I examined my face, noticing the remains of last night's makeup. I then headed over and sat on the edge of the bed. "So, what's up?"

"I was wondering if you maybe want to meet up today? Only if you want to though." He sounded so nervous, it was cute.

"I'd love to. Anything fun planned?"

"Oh, I, Um, haven't really thought about it. Sorry..."

"Don't worry about it, sweety. I'm sure I can think of a way we can entertain ourselves." The little gasp from Ricky over the phone at my teasing. I could picture his face turning pink. Balz groaned in annoyance in the background, earning a hit on the arm and shushing noise from Ryan - At least someone wasn't jealous of my interest in Ricky.

"When are you free to hang out?" He asked shyly.

"I'm free whenever you are."

"Can I come pick you up in 2 hours then? Is that alright?"

I glanced at the clock 12:47pm - wow, I slept surprisingly well for someone with nightmares. "Yeah, that'll be great. I look forward to it. I'll text you my address."

"Me too. Um, bye."

"See ya later, sweety." I replied before hanging up. Smiling, I then quickly sent him a text with my address and a few kisses added on the end playfully.

"Did you seriously just send our address to a stranger?" Balz questioned, finally sitting up with a scowl.

"It wasn't a stranger, it was Ricky."

"Still a stranger..." He muttered, crossing his arms.

"I don't need this right now" Annoyed, I jumped off the bed, walking to the door and glancing back "Ryan, do me a favour and cuddle Balz until he stops sulking?"

Ryan grinned happily "Mission accepted." And then jumped on top of the smaller man, wrapping his arms around him in a giant hug. Balz was trying not to smile but was having a hard time not to, eventually giving up and hugging the other man back, laughing.
