First class 'History room 120 Mr. Baldwin', great lets learn about a bunch of dead people that died from disease, war or anarchy. Once in the currently empty classroom I took it upon myself to sit right in the back to the far left, not long after the heard of tired teens began to flood threw the door and take there seats all looking at me in the process as if I wasn't supposed to be there the fuck is everyone's problem? I thought before quickly realising, Luke came strolling through the door looking like he'd rather be anywhere else, this was Luke's seat. Oh well, not my problem. I continued to look like I had no idea what was happening as he slowly approached the desk, just as I thought he'd say something he just sighed before sitting in the seat next to me instead. I was ready for a fight but he just accepted it like this had been happening for weeks.
The class dragged on, as expected, Mr. Baldwin spent the entire time rambling about some old guy who did a thing that left a mark on the world before dying from an infection that nobody had found a cure for.
Do you ever do that thing where you're listening to someone but slowly you begin to space out, not thinking about anything in particular but just not paying attention until something as simple as a single word or noise snaps you straight out of it and you come back to reality? Yeah, I did that in my class. The thing that brought me back was the sound of a pencil dropping, my head snapped to the side to see Luke picking up his pencil, making direct eye contact with a soft expression before turning his attention back to the teacher. Why does he hate me?
The bell rang snapping me out of my thoughts and I decided to confront Luke about it, I haven't done anything have I? I never asked Michael for a ride home and I definitely didn't plan on falling asleep on his bed. The plan was the confront him after class but before I could even get up from my seat he disappeared into the sea of teenagers lunch it is I thought making my way to my next class 'gym, Mrs Hyde' fucking brilliant. I thought about going, I really did but me and exercise aren't exactly friends so instead I decided to skip it and head out around the side of the school for a cigarette instead.
