"Come on, you've lived through worse than this! Please.. Just live through this too.."
The assassin gripped the cloth of Malzahar's scarf, the fingers of his other hand intertwined with his.
The prophet put a cold hand against Talon's cheek as he coughed up a bit of blood, the gaping wound in his stomach bled out. "Just go, Talon.. They'll be back soon-"
"Not without you, idiot!" Malzahar used the last of his strength to grab the assassin by the collar, forcing him into a soft kiss. "Just go.."
He took in a deep breath, trying to relax his numb body, they were in a field covered in white snow, near a dirt road leading to Noxus. Malzahar felt cold for the first time since he became part of the void, as if his immortality was leaving him behind.
He blanked out for a second, all he could see was black and white until a sudden drop of warmth hit his chest.
The color of the world around his started to come back.
"Talon.." He coughed up a bit more blood, struggling to speak with a sore throat, "Are you.. crying?"
"No, i-it's just really cold.." Talon quickly wiped the stray tears onto his sleeve, his lower lip still quivering. The prophet smiled softly and tugged lightly on the assassins shirt to get him to bring himself down to the floor with him, "It will be fine, I promise-"
He stopped, he could feel Talon shaking against his chest, "I don't want you to die..." The smile faded, Malzahar felt the little hope he had starting to fade away.
"It's ok-"
"God damnit, it's not okay Malz! What am I going to do!? I've killed my only friend, my first real family abandoned me! You're the only reason I haven't KILLED myself.. I j-just don't understand, why..? Why can't I die instead!? I just.."
Muffled, painful sobs were heard as the assassin lost the strength to continue.
"Please, don't leave me..." Talon whimpered. He's never cried that hard before.
The prophet grunted, forcing himself to wrap his arms around Talon, the warmth he felt was slowly fading away, along with his conciousness.
"I'm sorry.." He gently placed a kiss on Talon's jaw before laying back down, everything turning black. Talons chest exploded with pain as he saw the prophet close his eyes, that stupid smirk on his face.
"Malz..?"
~
The assassin jolted forward, his face numb from dry tears. It was dark, but he felt.. comfortable. As he caught his breath he looked around, he was in his own bedroom again. COnfused, he quickly turned his head to the side, his entire body feeling overly-relieved.
"Thank god..."
Talon sniffled and wiped away the dry tears on his face and leaned to the side, reunited with his partner, Malzahar. He could feel the prophet wake up under him, "Talon..? What are you doing?" He yawned and cuddled the assassin in his arms, holding him close.
"Another bad dream?"
"Y-Yeah.."
Talon nuzzled agaisnt the warm chest of his and purred softly, the shaking from before came to an end. "Promise you'll never leave me..?" He whispered, staying close. Malzahar smirked and kissed Talon's head gently. "I promise, Love. I'll never leave you."
"Tha- Eek?!" The assassin jolted to the side, his face now a bright shade of red. "M-Malz, stop it!" Talon couldn't help but laugh as his partner began to poke at his sides, making the smaller squirm and giggle. The assassin swung his arm, trying to hit him off, though before he could, his wrist was grabbed and held up before he was pulled into a kiss.
"You're adorable."
"Sh-Shut up.. Idiot.."
