"My sister is probably coming up with a scheme to take me down," The White Queen mused as she walked through her garden filled with flowers, trees. It was a beautiful sight.
As she was standing by the pond and holding a white rose, that she kept admiring. "Your majesty," My Knight approached. When he reached me, he stopped and bowed. "Yes?" I asked. "Your spies returned from spying on the Queen of Darkness," He replied grimly. "Well? Is my sister plotting against me?" I asked. He took a deep breath and exhaled,"I'm going to take a guess and say yes...the spies came back with their throats slit and many of the arms have symbols burned in them and a giant symbol cut into their chests,"He replied. I covered my mouth, but then took a deep breath," If they have families...let them know that they gave their lives for a good cause...but don't let them know how they died." "Yes ma'me," He bowed and then walked away.
I was then left alone in the garden again, except for the guards posted by the walls. I continued to stare out over the pond, admiring the garden's beauty, we had made a deal with the elves and anyone with nature, I knew my sister would not side with them because she doesn't like good, she prefers death and the dark. So the elves needed an ally for fear of dying, we were the best choice and we don't mind the extra help and protection, they are allowed to come in and out of the castle grounds.
I was lost in my thoughts, so I didn't hear my daughter approaching," Mother?" I looked down to see my 8 year old daughter holding onto my dress. "Yes," I smiled. "What are you thinking about?" She asked. "Nothing much my dear, just admiring the beauty of life," I smiled. She looked over the pond, the flowers, and the fishes,"What are we looking at?" My husband walked over , he stood behind me and wrapped his arm around me and put a hand on our daughter's shoulder. "Mom said,'we are admiring life,"Our daughter responded. "Sounds nice, but mommy and I have some business to attend to sweetie, so how about you go and play," My husband told us. "Alright," She ran off to go play. I watched her run off,"C'mon, we have business to attend to," He nudged me gently. "Yes, lets go and attend to the business and most likely have to come up with a plan to take my sister down," I sighed.
I turned around and smiled at him, he smiled back, he then took my hand and we walked back into the castle, and into the throne room.
After we had reached the throne room we took our seats on the throne,"Dismissed," My husband commanded the people in the room. They all left within a few minutes.
"Enter!" He yelled again, and a few guards, advisers, knights, wizard, and elf king, along with a few guards of his.
"So...is it a confirmation that my sister is doing all the things?" I asked. "Yes, your majesty..it is a confirmation," My knight confirmed. I looked down but he continued," We also have information that she joined up with the assassin guild Night Fire." Everyone started murmuring and talking. My husband rubbed his head,"SILENCE!!!!" I yelled. The room fell silent,"We will take the Queen of Darkness down, along with the guild Night Fire, they're destruction and the death they all cause will go down." "How do we know that you can take them down?" One of the advisers asked. "We can," the wizard answered, "She is strong and has many followers, and now that she is joining with the assassin guild it will be even tougher, and for right now all she can play is assassins and magic. We will have to end this before a war breaks out." "How do you know we can win?" Another adviser asked. "Because, we are going to through everything into it,"My Knight answered. "With the help, of the forest people, we have a fighting chance, and we will win. There is no option in that," I persisted. Everyone was quiet, we took that as a confirmation that that would do. I looked to my husband, he smiled and nodded,"I do not want to hear anymore about that we can't win. We will have to be ready for a war, no matter what, and that is that," My husband ordered,"You are all dismissed." It took people a few minutes but they all left.
Everyone left, and my husband and I were left in that giant room with nothing but our thoughts. "Do you really think we can win?" I asked my husband. He chuckled. "Are you laughing at me?" I asked. "No my dear, but the way you talked made it seem like you were confident, but then that is part of the job. Now, I don't know if we can beat your sister but I will try everything to win, and keep my family and my people safe, no matter what," He answered. I nodded,"Sounds good, and I will follow you to the end."
