"What movie will it be, Annie?" I asked her while she looked through the Netflix movies.

"White Chicks!" She exclaimed while smiling an evil smile. She knew I hated that movie, even though she loved it.

"Seriously? Again?" I asked, even though I wasn't surprised.

"You know it Jackie," She said still grinning evilly.

"Don't call me that. It's a girls name," I said annoyed. The girl sure knew how to annoy me. I guess she was still pissed about her Swedish Fish being stolen.

I layed back on my bed while she set it up on my TV. Yes, I have one in my room. And yes, it drives Adrian crazy she's so jealous.

I put my hand behind my head laying down on some pillows, while she sat down at the foot of my bed staring intensely at the screen.

"Adrian, you must have seen this movie a thousand times. How can you not be bored?" I asked amazed as always as she kept her eyes glued to the TV while the movie started.

"Shh, the first scene is the best!" She said harshly. I just chuckled to myself.

Wow, she looks really beautiful tonight, even with her back to me... No. I shouldn't be thinking about Addie like that. She's my best friend. I shouldn't be thinking these things about my best friend. I must have problems.

I continued to stare at her back taking in her beauty. There's nothing wrong ogling at her while she's not looking at me, right?

"Jack, why are you staring at me? It's creepy," She said while cocking her head to the side adorably. There's no denying it. I'm falling for her. I'm not going to deny it, but I'm not telling her.

"I thought I saw a bug on you," I say lamely. She looks at me skeptically, but turns back to her movie anyways.

Why didn't I feel this way about her before? We've known each other forever. My feelings can't just change like that. Just then Adrian burst out laughing at something that happened in the movie. She rolled around on my huge bed, tears started to stream from her eyes as she laughed.

 I paused the movie knowing it would take her a while to calm down. Five minutes passed and she was still laughing.

"Stop- Looking at me- Like I'm crazy!" She said between laughs.

"But you are crazy," I said while shaking my head. She laughed even harder, I didn't even think that was possible.

I started to tickle her, she started screaming, while laughing of course.

"Stop!" She said between breaths.

"Fine, sorry," I said starting to laugh a little.

"Don't laugh at me," She said frowning.

"Sorry, too hard not to." I pressed play and she turned to watch the movie.

She sent me a quick glare before returning to her beloved movie.

“Are you ready to go to sleep?” I asked after the movie ended.

“I guess,” She says standing up and yawning. I pull the sleeping bags out of my closet and set them on my balcony. It’s a tradition.

We both have balconies, so depending which house we’re at, we sleep on the balcony in sleeping bags.

Adrian yawns again, this time even louder. I set out my sleeping bag as she does hers. We then go to the bathroom to brush our teeth, she has her own toothbrush at my house since she stays over so much.

We both finish and go outside silently. I waited for her as she snuggles into her sleeping bag outside, then I then turn off the light, and stumble through my room then trip. I hear some giggles coming from outside.

“Not funny Annie,” I said pretending to be mad as I step onto the balcony.

“Sure it’s not funny,” I can almost see her roll her eyes.

“It’s not,” I said

“Klutz,” She said pretending to cough. I lightly slap her before snuggling into my own sleeping bag.

 “Jack?” She asked in a whisper.

“Yeah?” I asked also whispering.

“I’m kinda scared to do the fireworks.”

“Don’t worry, everything will be fine. It’ll be fun, I promise.” I would never let anything happen to you, I add in my head.
