Chapter thirty three ~ Mutual promises ~

Jasper went outside the room where Raf was. The poor girl was lying on the floor, she was crying and she had blood on her nose and lips. He had hit her again, with more anger than before. Her stomach ached, because he had kicked her there. She remembered what happened before and cried more from what he had told to her before.

An hour before
Jasper was very angry. He was hitting Raf without doubts and without any annoyance of the girl's pleases and cry.
"Please.. Stop!! I haven't done anything bad to suffer like that!!!" she said
"You have done!! You want Sulfus to refuse his race and be with you, to be with an angel!!!" he shouted
"I love him and I will refuse my race too on order to be with him!! I don't want to destroy him!!" she cried
"But you have already destroyed him!! He isn't Sulfus he used to be, he has changed!!"
"And how do you know how he was?? You gave him up when he was a child, remember??" she asked him shouting
"SHUT UP YOU BITCH!!" he shouted and kicked her stomach. The pain she received was so bad that she couldn't breath, although her desperate tries. "Also, you will die and they will never find you. So when time pass, Sulfus will find someone else to replace you. He will find a much better female devil who will make him happy and he won't remember you anymore. He will realise that you were nothing to him!!" he said evily
Those words were pain to Raf's ears "..someone else to replace you.. He will forget you.. Nothing to him.."
"NO!!! STOP HIDEOUS BEAST!!! STOP!! YOU ARE LYING!!!" she shouted loudly and cried more than ever.
"Hahaha you will see in a few days my dear.. Hahaha!!" he laughed evily and went outside the room, leaving the poor angel crying.

Back to present

"Sulfus darling, please don't forget me.. I love you.. I love you.." the angel whispered to hershelf, with the hope that her beloved could hear her.
Raf.. She suddenly heared and gasped. She looked around the room to see who was talking to her, but she didn't see anyone. Then she realised that this familiar male voice was inside her head.
Who's talking?? She asked and started thinking that insanity was visiting her
It's me Raf, Erasmus!! The voice answered
Erasmus, please help me!!
Don't worry Raf, we are all here for this reason. You will be with us soon..!! He encouraged her
Raf.. My daughter.. Angelie spoke
Mama.. Mama I miss you!!! I love you so much mama!!! The angel said smiling and tearing of happiness for first time in these two horrible days
Me too my daughter.. I hope you are fine.. The blonde woman said. The poor angel looked the floor which had blood from her wounds and tried not to cry and make her mother sad.
I'm fine mama, don't worry..
Raf honey!! How are you?? Kali asked
Hi mama-Kali, I'm OK don't worry.. She said
I'm so sorry for what happened to you my girl.. Kali said with a sense of guilt on her voice
It's not your fault mama-Kali, don't feel guilty please.. The angel tried to calm her
My angel.. I miss you so much!! Sulfus talked, making the blonde girl smile
Sulfus my love.. I miss you too.. Please come to take me out of here.. Raf asked from him
Don't worry my love, we will be together soon and no one will force us to break up.. He tried to calm her. Jasper's words returned to her head and felt the need to ask him something
Sulfus.. Do you love me??
Of course I do, as always and I will love you forever!! You are my love Raf!! He said making her heart melt from his words.
Don't worry Raf, we are all here for you!!
Yeah!! We love you!!
Do you remember when we defeated Reina two times??
Or when we won Cessedy and Cubral??
We will win and this time you will see!! Her friends started saying to her in order to encourage her.
I know guys, I love you too!! She said and after a few seconds they stopped communicating telepathetically.
Raf was full of hopes now. She started believe more now, Sulfus's words were like music inside her head now Of course I love you, as always and I will love you forever. You are my love!!
"I will love you forever too Sulfus, even though no one of us knows if there's future for us, I will love you always.. I promise.." she whispered to hershelf and fall asleep because of her burnout.

The same night at Golden School
Angelie helped Kali to put Gemma on bed. Then they approached the window and looked the night sky.
"How do you feel about Raf now?" Kali asked
"A little more relieved, but always afraid. I don't know if that man hurt her from time to time, or I don't know if Raf says the truth. Maybe she tells that she is OK in order to calm us, but I know my child and I have a strong instict. My daughter isn't so well as she wants to show us, maybe she is strong, but she is not well." Angelie admited.
"Angelie.. I know that you love Raf very much, she is your whole life, as my children are for me. You were seperated from her so many years, and you have suffered away from her. You weren't there for her when she needed you because you were forced. Also as you know, I have suffered enough for my children either. Our children are in love, and we have to support them and be there for them, even that one of us won't be here, the other must be here for them." the red-haired woman said and then the blonde one asked her
"What do you mean Kali?"
"All these days we have become very good friends. I love very much Raf and I will be by her side when she needs me, as I do with my own children. I promise!! I know that it isn't a very good idea for you to trust a devil, but I promise it as a mother, not as a person of my race. Do you promise me the same?? Do you promise me that you will be a mother to my children if something bad happen to me?? Tell me..!" Kali asked tearing and making Angelie tear too.
"Yes, I promise Kali. But you talk like you know that something bad is gonna happen to you.. What's wrong?"
"Nothing, the important thing is that my children won't be alone in that case. Thank you!!" Kali said and hugged her friend.
"Thank you too Kali.."
