"Leah are you almost finished with the tables?" Marlene the owner of the Diner I worked at question.
"Yes, ma'am they are." I smile.
This is the last day I have to work. I have saved all my money since I was thirteen years old to travel around the world. I started off washing the dishes, to throwing garbage's, and cleaning the restroom to busting tables, and making food.
I am ready to leave and find my self. My aunt Terra isn't that happy of me leaving. But since I am, eighteen and considered an adult. She doesn't have to be my guardian anymore.
I have been waiting for this moment all my life.
"Finished." I pant completely breathless form my difficult task, placing the last chair on the table.
I walked over to Marlene and picking up my last check. More than I expected to get. There in her hand a big wad of cash.
"W-what's all this?" I stutter my eyes never leaving the wad of cash, I didn't like taking money from anyone I'd rather work for it.
"The town pitched in.. We all want you to explore the world. So here you go." She says genuinely, Marlene's eyes becoming teary from the side of her tiny wrinkled eyes.
I truly am going to miss her. the whole town is excited fro me to leave. Since no one ever does.
Jeremiah my best friend isn't to excited for me. But I promised him I would write, and call him whenever I got the chance.
"Don't cry because then I'm going to cry." I giggle hugging Marlene for the last time.
"I truly am going to miss you, I hope you find whatever your looking for" She smiled kissing me on my forehead.
"Now, run along and get some sleep your going to have a busy day tomorrow." She chuckles pulling us apart, and playfully pinching the side of my cheek.
I wave one last time, slipping on my coat it was truly cold at ten in the evening.
I take a look at my around at my old surroundings. I'm not really going to miss this place, maybe everyone in the town for sure but not this place.

"I'm back." I shout making my way towards Terra, her giving me a war smile. "Dinner is on the stove if you want some." She offers, rinsing the last dish from the musty sink.
"No thanks I'm not that hungry. I think I'm just going to go to sleep, and rest up for tomorrow." Terra nods and I made my way towards my room, plain walls. The dull gray walls, and horrid plum colored curtains.
I lay down, on the old excuse of a bed with several springs out of place, taking a look at my night stand that laid a picture of my parents before they got into a horrible car crash.
I was only two years old so I barely knew them. I wish I could remember them but I just can't and it hurts me deep down inside. Knowing that I will never see them again, I wonder if they would be proud of me. If they are rooting for me to go and explore the magnificent world.
The tapping on my window breaks me out of thought, causing me to forget what I was on about. Who could possibly be here at night. "Shit." I mutter nearly tripping over my suitcase.
Stepping over to the window I open it and there he was...
Jeremiah.
"Hey what's up?" he steps inside cautiously making sure he doesn't knock down anything, and stalks over to my bed.
"I don't want you to leave me.." He sighs keeping his head down so I can avoid his eyes, the tension still lingering in the air. He wasn't to pleased when I told him about my plans for the future. he almost thought I was kidding, and was a mad woman.
I sighed "I need to figure out who I am."
