The tall man in the expensive blue suit introduced himself as Benjamin Juda. He gave Kitra vague answers to her many questions and she was growing more and more frustrated and worried. Nothing made sense. Yet she still felt safe. She felt okay. Benjamin left her in the care of the three male nurses she had writhed against earlier. They were cautious of her now, but seemed much more at ease as her presence was no longer a terrifying threat. Kitra tried to ask them a couple questions, but they told her it would all make perfect sense soon. They asked her to lie down on the huge orange bed and she did as she was told. The one with dark brown hair reached out a hand and she immediately shied away, suddenly embarrassed of her bandaged body. She was practically naked! The bandages wrapped around her entire torso, her waist, and most of her calves, but she still felt exposed. She wasn't comfortable letting these strange boys rip off her only concealing items. The brown haired boy noticed that she was flustered and he chuckled as if remembering something funny. He drew back his hand and smiled reassuringly.

"I wasn't going to remove the bandages." he said softly.

Kitra looked to the two sandy haired boys and they nodded, giving her the same reassuring smile. She laid back, her eyes watching their hands intently.

The brown haired boy reached out his hand again and held it over Kitra's mid section. He didn't touch her. His fingers merely hovered over her body. A sudden warmth took hold of her. It crept into her skin and then seeped into her bones, filling her with a delicious sensation. She felt totally at ease and everything in her felt stronger and more alive. She felt healthy. She hadn't felt this way in years. Her body had been kept weak and useless in that dark room. She had been malnourished and close to death. But as this boy held out his hand over her body, she felt strength. Her muscles no longer ached and her bones no longer pained her. Her joints were relaxed and every inch of her was lively and without bruises or scars. Kitra was lost in her amazement. She hardly noticed that the other boys had stretched their hands out over other parts of her body. They were warming her arms, her legs, her shoulders. She felt rejuvenated and refreshed. When they pulled away, they looked a little exhausted, but pleased.

"What was that?" Kitra breathed out, immediately sitting up and scanning her body.

The boys grinned. "You were really messed up when you first got here," the brown haired boy mused. "It took five of us and an entire night to get you stable."

Kitra cocked her head to one side, thoroughly confused. "You're doctors?" she asked curiously.

"Something like that." a sandy one laughed.

"But what did you just do to me?" she asked again.

"We were given the task of watching over you and helping with your rehabilitation and recuperation. It seems like you're all better now. It only took one night and most of this morning. But those with Karma often heal faster than normal people." another sandy one explained.

Kitra was even more confused than she had been moments ago. The boys noticed and looked to each other, unsure if they should continue explaining.

"You'll get the full rundown on all this new stuff in a little while." the brown haired boy told her.

Kitra began to object but the door opened and another nurse, this one a small, mousy female, told the three boys to escort Kitra to the Grand Meeting. She hoped she would find answers there.

Kitra was given a white tshirt and a pair of white cotton pants. She slipped them on, pleased they fit her famished frame, and she slipped out of the room and followed the three boys. As they walked down a long, narrow corridor, Kitra noticed that everything was white. The ceiling, the walls, the floor, the doors lining the hall. She wondered If others were behind those doors, just as frightened and unsure as she was. Finally, the boys stopped at a small entrance. Kitra pushed open the door and saw a semi circle of chairs. She looked back at the boys and they urged her towards the seats. She picked one at the end. She wasn't the first one to arrive apparently.
