Chapter 16

I got up from the bar and run out after her, with only one intention in my mind. Calm down guys its not what you think but if it happens it happens. I saw here sitting on the bench she was sitting there with her legs crossed and she was crying. I approached her and took of my Grey coat and handed it to her and said "since you are going to be out here you might as well keep warm." I gave it to her and continue to walk on to my penthouse when she she replied "are you seriously going to leave me out here in the park on my own?" I replied "yes" as I continued to walk she shouted "your a prick," while she got up to give me back my jumper and she was like "take it I don't need your pity," I then said "its not pity its called common sense, its cold out here so have my jacket, your the one in the park im going home". She looked at me like if she knew me and she replied " you was at the wedding wasn't you?" I replied in a calm manner "yea I was there, lets just say I'm an old mate of the bride." She looked at me like if she was trying to remember me, when I said "its late I'm going home and you clearly want to be on your own" she replied "where do you live? as I can chill at yours while I call for a cab to take me home"

I turned around and showed her the new tower apartments and I said "I live at the top of that tower" she looked at where my head was pointing and she said "wow you live over there, your such a liar". I knew she would not believe me till I started to walk towards the penthouse and she was stunned and immediately followed me. I noticed she was walking behind me saying "are you for real" I said "if you don't believe me you can stay in the park or you can follow me" I stretched out my arm and she looked for a second like if she was analysing me, she asked me for my name and I said "my name is Jeremy Redington" and asked her what's yours she said "NNEKA" she then took my hands and we started walking to my house. While we was walking she was just looking at me like she has seen me before, it was kind of uncomfortable so I had to change the mood, "so why are you out here crying in the middle of the park don't you have a man to go to?" she had a look of shock and said defensively "of course I got a man and I love him so much!" I replied "I didn't ask you if you loved him, I just asked if you had one." she gave me a look of don't try be smart with me Jeremy I know what you are playing at. Before you know it we had reached the door to my house and I took out my keys and pressed it on the blue sensor and the door opened to the lounge area, she was just looking around like she could not believe it that she was at my lounge area. I then took her to where the lifts where, as we waited for the lifts she was just looking at all the pictures around the area and she said "how are you able to afford all this?" I looked at her and say the Bullshit line "hard work and no play". She gave me that look of you must be doing something dodgy, but I like it.

Chapter 17

We reach to my door and I take out my wallet and remove my door card and touch the blue sensor, and it changes to green and the door opens. She is just looking at me in amazement as we entered the door she walked in to see the living room, with all my beige furniture and L shaped couch that are on both ends of the living room. With my hanging flat screen 44 inch plasma smart TV on the opposite side of the L shaped couch, but the part of the house that I loved was my balcony as from there, I could get a good view of the city and it felt like all my childhood ambitions I achieved and boy did it hurt trying to get there. I then broke the ice in this silent situation " would you like a drink and you can sit down if you want." She replied "I'll have a glass of rose wine" She sat down while I went to the cupboard, to get a bottle of wine and two glasses. While I was doing that I asked if "do you want me to turn the heating on" she replied "yea it's kinda chilly" as she was putting on my jacket. I went to my digital thermostat and increased the heat, she was impressed with how my house was so digital. I was like do you want to listen to music or watch music videos on the TV she said she wanted to listen to some rnb, I gave her my Samsung tablet and told her to choose her songs as I went to my room to get undressed, the heating in the house was instant so I just wore my black tight boxer shorts and my white vest, as I walked back into the living room and said "I hope you don't mind I like being comfortable in my house." she gave me the look of don't try it.

She then went on the tablet and started to play her type of music and I just sat back and enjoyed my wine, she was doing the same till she got a bit tipsy then that's when I asked her, "how comes you was crying in the park?" As she was a bit tipsy she looked at me and said "you know what Jeremy I'm being pressured to get married by my family and my friends to my current boyfriend."I looked at her she was looking away from my face and I said " I take it you don't want the marry him?" She looked at me and nodded with a bit of shame in her eyes, she drank her wine and started to play the music louder, yet to ignore my stare. I just looked at her as she started to dance on her own trying to ignore me, I started to call her name im like "nneka!" "Nneka!" "NNEKA!!!!!" She stopped and looked at me and I can see the tears in her eyes I looked at her and said "you don't love him no more do you?" She started to cry and she said "yes, how do you know?" "I can see it in your eyes " is what I said and I looked at her and walked towards her and I embraced her and she gripped me tight as she continued crying. I started to wipe the tears off her face and she just stared at me and I said to her "do what you want to do, not what they want you to do." she looked at me and I kissed her on her red soft lips, she pushed me away and slapped me.
