Flashback

Danny's P.O.V.

*Flash Back to when him and Gina first meet*

The teacher said there should be a new kid coming today. 'I wonder what they'll be like?' My thoughts were interrupted when a girl with bright blue eyes and light brown hair walked into the room and went over to the teacher. No one else noticed her come in. It was like she was one with the shadows. The teacher barely noticed her. I could slightly hear what they were saying. "Oh! Hello there little one. What's your name?" My teacher asked the girl. "G-Georgina G-G-Grosskopf." The girl replied shyly. "Oh! Your our new student. How about you go sit by Daniel." She said while pointing at me. I wave my hand to the new girl, Georgina. She slowly walks over to me with her eyes glued to the feet. "Hello. I'm Daniel Rand but people call me Danny. It's nice to meet you." I say politely to her. "N-n-n-nice to meet you too. I-I-I-I-I'm Georgina Grosskopf. M-m-m-m-my friends and family just call me Gina." The brunette said back. "You don't need to be scared. I won't hurt you." I say trying to calm her down. "My grandfather always told me to keep my guard up and keep an eye and ear open for my surroundings." She says to me. Class was about to start. I turned to tell Gina and I saw her drawing a picture of someone. As she drew the picture she started to cry. I grab a tissue and gently wipe her tears away. "Are you okay Gina? Why are you crying?" I ask her. "I'm fine. I just miss my grandfather. He past away a few months ago." Gina explained. "It's okay Gina. If you ever want to talk to someone about it I'm always here for you." I say to her. She was shocked I had said that. After that school just went on and on. Gina was very fast with the classwork. Her best was math, writing, reading and history. With the specials we had her favorites were art and music. She was a good singer and a good artist. Even if she says she's not.

*A few days later*

Gina and I have become good friends over these past few days. She doesn't stutter around me anymore. But she has been acting strange since yesterday. She won't tell me what's going on. When the teacher had to step out for a moment a bunch of kids came over to her and started to call her names. She now sat a few seats away from me, but I could still her what they were saying to her. I quickly got up and went over to her seat. I pulled her away from the bullies. "Leave her alone!" I yell at them. "Why should we leave that THING alone? Why are you even protecting it Danny?" One of the girls in my class asked me. When she called Gina an 'it' and a 'thing' it just got me mad. I knew it made Gina mad too. She was about to blow. I could tell because I could feel her nails digging into my arm. When she's mad she usually digs her nails into her own skin but when she is holding onto someone's arm she digs into their skin. It hurt but I ignored it. "She's not a 'thing' or an 'it'. She's my friend and I won't let you bully my friend." I say to them. I felt Gina's grip loosen. Meaning she was about to cry. I quickly turn around give her a hug before running out of the classroom. We ran to the front office. I was dragging her along so she could get away from the bullies. I knew we would get in trouble if our teacher saw us but we had an excuse. We had to report those kids who were picking on her. It's wrong to bully someone. We got trouble with the people in the office but they let us off easy since it was for a good reason we ran out of class. After that the kids stopped bullying her and she was moved back to the seat next to me. I knew we would be friends for a long time. 

*A month later*

Next week is Halloween and Gina's birthday. She is lucky to have her birthday be the day directly after Halloween. I'm a bit older then her. On November first, she will be eight years old. We are in the second grade right now. During lunch we were talking to our friends, Lucas, Celeste, Cadence, Anna, and Wendy, about what were going to dress up as. Lucas was going to dress up as Sonic the Hedgehog. Celeste was going to dress up as a Disney princess. Same with Cadence. Anna was going to dress up like a vampire while Wendy was going as a werewolf. Gina was going as her favorite cartoon character, Luna Rose. Luna Rose a nine-tailed fox girl who had blonde hair with rose red highlights, and bright blue eyes like Gina. I was going to go as a dragon warrior. Lucas was going to go trick-or-treating with his family. Celeste and Cadence were going with Celeste's older brothers. Anna was going with her older siblings. Wendy was going with her cousins. Gina was going with her older sisters. They invited me to come too. I gladly accepted. I never went trick-or-treating with a friend before. I can't wait until Halloween.

*The day after Halloween because I'm lazy*

Gina's mom let me sleep over last night since my parents were on a business trip. Gina's dad was a part of the army and he was overseas for a year. Gina told me that whenever her birthday came around he always had drill. But when her older sisters' birthday came around he was there. Her mom got her a big cookie cake. Her sisters were out with friends so the cake was ours for the taking. She was so happy when she ate her cake. But I could tell she was said that most of her family was away.  She only had me and her mom. Her mom was a nice lady. After we finished our cake we went back to her room to  play with her toys. It soon got boring. So Gina decided that since her sisters weren't coming back until after dark we would sneak into their room and play on their computer. She clicked on an icon that read 'The Sims 3'. She says it's an awesome game. We played until it was five o'clock. She had  a feeling her sisters would back soon so we ran down the hall back to her room after we deleted what we did. We pretended we didn't do anything, that we just stayed in her room playing with her toys all day. An hour after her sisters got back, people from my parents company came to take me back home. I gave her a quick hug good bye. Then I left.

*Five years and a day after they first met*

Me and Gina are both in the seventh grade now. We had the same schedule as each other. Only difference was that she had chorus and I didn't. During Lunch me and Gina went to the library because she had to tell me something. We said good bye to Rarity, Dragon, Radiance, Katness, Pinkie, and the rest of our friends and went to the library. "Danny..." My blue eyed friend said quietly.  "Gina? What's wrong?" I asked her. She had tears on the edge of her eyes. "Danny... I'm moving to Kyoto, Japan next week. Everyone else already knows." Tears started falling down her face. I grab a tissue and wipe her tears away like when we first met. "Please don't cry Gina." I say sweetly. "She looked up at me and smiled. "I know fate will bring us back together some day Danny. Until then I'll miss you." She said with happiness and Sadness in her voice. When lunch was over and we were back in our classroom, Gina was called for check out. That was the last I saw of Gina.

*Present Day*

Someone was shaking me. I slowly open my eyes. Peter was above me trying to wake me up. "Danny hurry and get ready. We're going to be late for class." Peter said. I quickly got ready and ran to class. Right before I went inside I saw Gina with her mask on again. I ran over to her and gave her a quick hug before grabbing her hand and ran into the classroom. I could tell she was smiling under her mask. She was happy that Fate brought us back together.

Hey dudes. Before you post in the comments about what Danny and Gina looked like when they were little and what their friends looked like. Well their friends can look how ever you want. Just so you know Radiance and Dragon are boys. Danny was just a younger version of himself when he was in high school only he actually wore sneakers. Gina always had her hair in a low ponytail. She always wore a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, sneakers, and a hoodie that Danny got her for her birthday. She only dressed up in a dress when it was the fifth grade dance at her and Danny's elementary school or when she was with Danny during the holidays. There we go see you guys next chapter.
