Backstory: James was born into a rich, full blooded vampire family. He wasn't abused, but his parents hated him. His father was a drunk, and his mother was an addict. His parents even said he was an accident. Right to his face. At the age of 7, him and his parents got into a big fight. His father smacked him. That night, when his parents were sleeping, he left with just the clothes on his back. He wandered into the woods. After about 4 days of traveling, he came upon a cabin. Cold, hungry, and thirsty, he knocked on the door. An elderly couple opened the door. They let him inside and asked him about why he was in the woods alone. James explained what had happened and he begged them not to take him back. He said he would do anything. The couple decided to let him stay. They put him to work with their son, who was about the same age as James. They quickly bonded. About a year later, news spread about the murder of James's parents. He wasn't the least bit sad. He lived in the mountain cabin with his new family until he was 18. He set off to set up his own life, promising he would write. He walked on a road he came across and soon found a small town. He came across a local band of hunters. They agreed to let him work with them. He became very good friends with a man named John Marcus. He didn't have a house, so he spent his nights at the inn. At the inn, was a beautiful woman by the name of Isabel Verbeck. They became very good friends for 6 years. He was in love. When he was 24, he asked for her hand in marriage. She accepted, but there was a big problem. Her ''father'' despised vampires, and would never approve. They got married in secret. They ran away to live in a house up in the mountains. It wasn't very big. One day, James left for a week to go on a hunting trip with John, but only he came back. John was killed by a water serpent. He was sad, and would never forget about his best friend, but he still had to look after Isabel. About a year later, they got a knock on their door. It was a man in a suit, who worked for his parents. He had gained $7,000,000 dollars in inheritance. His name wasn't in the will, but they had no one else to take it, so he got the money. James and Isabel moved away and built a mansion in the mountains of the Shadow Heart Realm. Ernest was the first to be born. Then came Shadow, Vixen, and Star. After the death of Isabel, James was devastated, as was the rest of the family. He would never remarry. Throughout the years, he would write to his adopted family in the woods. He still writes to them to this very day. Nothing has really happened after the death of Isabel, which brings us to current events.
