Jared's pov

"Bye..." I say as Jozie leaves the room. I can't help but stair at the way her long, wavy, golden brown hair brushes across her back. The sway of her hips hypnotizing with each step. Snap out of it J, I think a mental slap is in order.

I need to talk to her again. I wonder why she doesn't sing? She's got a stunning voice! And looks to kill for. The whole package I would say.

Shut up Bart, she's not a puzzle you need to piece together.

But she's intriguing....

No, Bart that's enough.

When my head finally surfaces from all these questions swarming my brain I realize that Shannon is still probably waiting in the dining room for me.

When I reach the doorway of my room I see a phone on the floor so I pick it up and have a look at it. Its a Blackberry and through the headset I can hear Closer to the Edge playing. On the screen is a picture of the one and only Jozie. She must have dropped it on her way rushing out the room.

I turn the music off and stow it in my pocket, just to keep it safe.

"Holy shit, dude. Did you get mobbed or something? Or maybe you took so long because you found a mirror... Hahaha!" Shannon said, the humorous sparks in his eyes hidden by his dark aviator glasses.

"No, actually I couldn't figure out how to get out the elevator!" Jared retorted, oozing sarcasm. Even though he was 39 years old, Jared still enjoyed the childish banter he and his big brother shared.

Rolling his eyes, as he took a bite of his bacon and eggs, Shannon noticed the phone his brother had put on the table. Jared sat down, put rested his chin in his hands and just stared at the phone on the table.

"What's up bro?" Shannon asked, "who's Blackberry is that?"

"Its Jozie's." Jared replied.

"Yes, of course,...Jozie's phone." Shannon said, looking at the concentration on his brothers face. When Jared failed to produce any more information Shannon prodded "and Jozie is...?"

As if waking from a day dream Jared shakes his head before replying to Shannon.

"She was cleaning our room when I walked in. She must have dropped it as she left."

"Room service?" Shannon asked. "Just hand it in at the reception desk. They'll get it to her."

"No, I wanna see she gets it in person." Jared said as if that was the only option.

Shannon just shook his head and laughed.

"You always have to be saint Jared. Anyways, moving on, I need to go into town and get some decent clothing seeing as the airline lost my luggage. I still don't understand how they can loose my bags over the fucking Pacific ocean!!! "

"Sounds good." Jared said, not really listening to what Shannon was saying."I could do with some fresh air."

"And then tonight we are beaching it." Shannon said.

That random comment seemed to catch Jared's attention and after seeing the confused expression on his face, Shannon pulled a flyer from his pocket and passed it to Jared.

It was an invite to a beach party that night.

"So are you game?" Shannon asked hopefully. He had no problem going alone but he wanted to have a night out with his 'lil' bro.

"Yeah, sure. Why not." Jared replied.

"And maybe you just might get lucky." Shannon said with a grin on his face.
