All the contests went one by one showing off their outfit and answering some very personal questions. The went in order of the sections. Before I knew it, Section 8 was heading off stage, as Xavier walked off stage he came up to me.
"Good luck, you'll need it." He whispered in my ear before walking off, sending a shiver down my back. Well that's not intimidating at all.
"Next up Avalon Honour." Called out the host. I knew my cue as I walked onto the stage. I looked at the massive crowd, all eyes watching me, cheering. As I sat down i could feel myself relaxing. As we started off talking I began to get less nervous. I never knew I had it in me.
"Anyway let's talk about your background in Section 9. What was it like there."
"Well...it was tough, we had a lot of shortages of things like food and other things.
"Right, right, so what about your family?"
"Um......I only have my little sister Lily." I confessed.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry. What happened?"
"Well...there was a disease going round, and my parents caught it. It started when I was 12 and my parent started to get sick. It started as a cough and we thought it was nothing. Then it got worse. Living in Section 9 they couldn't get the treatment they needed. And then my sister Olivia..." I began choking up, the eyes beginning to water. Preston rubbing my arm trying to console me. "And then Olivia, she was 11 at the time and she couldn't handle it and she...she drowned herself."
"Oh my. It must be hard for you. I'm so sorry."
After a short while and some more questions I was finished. I walked off stage. As I came backstage I could feel all eyes on me.
