Marco, Star, Mr. and Mrs. Diaz exited the airport and started walking to the car rental area. Star gazed at store windows on the way there. Good thing I brought my wallet, she thought. Me and Marco will be doing a lot of shopping! The thought of doing fun things in New York with Marco made her jittery. Mr. and Mrs. Diaz had their own plans, and they trusted Star and Marco to stay together. They would meet at a designated restaurant each day and go to their hotel afterwards.
"We're here," Mr. Diaz announced. "I'll get the car. You all wait here."
Star plopped onto a bench by the car rental and played her phone until Mr. Diaz pulled out of the rental with the car. Marco, Star, and Mrs. Diaz climbed into the car. They drove to their hotel.
