Chapter three: A multitude of exes
{A/N: GUESS WHO IS BACK?! Hi everyone :) I know it's been almost a year (maybe even more) since you last heard from me. I'm very sorry. I've just been so busy and I'd love to tell you all about it... if I am legally allowed to... Anyway, exciting and life-threatening adventures aside, please enjoy the chapter! X}
"What?!" I said snapping back, eyes wide open. Leave it to me to always get the ones with girlfriends.
"I'm so sorry," Freddie said sadly.
"But then why did you take me out for coffee?!"
"Look," Freddie said. "I need to figure out exactly what happened last night and to make sure you won't go to the press about this."
Now I was just plain angry. "You are so full of it! I was actually starting to think that you were a nice guy but no-"
"I am a nice guy-"
"No your not," I said angrily. "Just stop it, don't talk to me anymore. We're done. We were never a thing but we're done." I got up and ran out of the coffee shop leaving my coffee completely untouched. What a shame...
Once I got back home I ignored my roomate's greetings and slammed my bedroom door behind me. Honestly, I never wanted to leave the room again. Why do I always go out (or kiss for that matter) people who cheat?! Am I jinxed or something?
There was a knock on my door.
"Go away," I said from my perch on my bed.
"Aw, Roo don't be like that," Izzy's voice said from, the other side of the door. Her voice was full of concern but I really didn't feel like talking to anyone.
"I said: go away,"
"Well, we're coming in anyway!" Ella exclaimed as she and her twin barged into my room.
I sighed. "Is there any kind of privacy in this apartment?"
"Not really, no," Izzy said. I threw a pillow at her.
"Roo-" Ella said, ducking my pillow missiles. "Ruby- ouch! That hit my eye! Tell us what''s wrong."
"Couldn't I just throw pillows at you until you leave?" The girls gave me a look. "It's a valid suggestion..."
"Ugh! Just tell us and don't get sassy!" Izzy pouted.
"me? Sassy?" I said innocently. "Why would you think that?"
"Oh shut up," Ella said playfully. "Just say it please!"
"He has a girlfriend."
"No way!" Ella said. "That's awful. Are you okay?"
"I always knew he was trouble..." Izzy remarked.
"No you didn't!" Ella said loudly. "I said he was a player you said he was nice."
"Can we please try to focus on the fact I've just been played by a prince?"

"Ruby, I'm so sorryabout all of this. Please just let me talk to you. What I said just kind of came out... wrong. Please tallk to me, Roo!" Freddie's voice pleaded on my voicemail for what seemed like the thousandth time. I was getting pretty sick of this relentless calling. It'd been over a week and Freddie was clearly not getting the messagethat I don't want to talk to him. Ever. I don't want to be his 'bit on the side' because I know exactly how it feels to be cheated on. I opened up to him and now it's all been thrown in my face!
