Star's pov

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just run away.

I stood in the middle of my room bantering with myself.

Ah yes, run away. Run as far as you like to wherever or whomever you choose. Because your Aunt won't give any attention towards your stupidity.

I know better than that.
I can't run.
She's watching me, I know it.
If I tried to run out of her rules, I'd be dead.
Just like my parents.

The cold, silenced room seemed filled with mixed emotions and silent screams.
Then a sharp loud knock broke the silence and train of thought.

I turned to my door, knowing that no good would come from the devil that stood on the other side.
Opening the door, Marco stood there.
"What?" I said sharply.
His big brown eyes made him seem harmless. Then you might notice his tattered black leather jacket that layered over a red hoodie.
Along with that...super...fluffly...brown hair...

Marco's pov

Saturday was going to be super boring as I usually predict, and I actually like going to the park nearby.
Only problem with that, is that I haven't been able to go without a partner...NOT A BABY SITTER. A partner.
My parents and everyone else don't really trust me being alone in public, for some pretty legitimate reasons too.

So why not mess around with the new girl and show her around.
...maybe...I could get to know exactly where she's from...BECAUSE IT'S BUGGING THE CRAP OUTTA ME.
I sat on my bed getting warm in the face trying to give myself good reasons for taking HER specifically to the park.

Walking down the hall I knocked on her door and waited for her to most likely reject the idea.
The door opened softly as the smell of fruit punched me in the face again.

She stood there in the door way.
Her blue poofy dress looked uncomfortable as heck but you could see she was used to it.

"What?" She said sharply.
I stood there for a second just to annoy her, but she started to stare at my...hair?
She looked like she was hypnotized for a second.
I know my hair is nice but this was just getting weird.

"I was heading out, to the park," I said slowly, as her eyes and face turned back to the unimpressed look she always has.
"And I wanted to know, if you would like to come with me?"

She looked behind her at the dark and school infested room, then looked back at me and exhaled.
"Yes,"

Yes,
Yes,
Yes................wow, I actually didn't expect that.

Star's pov

Of course I said yes, I've been stuck studying in my room for the little time I've been in earth and the only places I know how to get to is the school and Diaz house.
Why exactly he asked me? Like I have a clue! He's a confusing human but then again they all seem to be.

We started walking down a weird stoned pathway.
Marco didn't look at me once as we walked.
I however couldn't stop glancing at him.
He looked like he didn't give a care about any of the life and territory that surrounded him. He'd probably seen it all a million times and he just continually stared off to oblivion.
