It was midnight, Alex and I had told Omar everything that happened, and he wasn't so pleased so he called his boss, Raul Suaréz. Suaréz was the leader of the infamous "Mentados Cartel." We all gathered up at a hotel near the area where I had shot those junkies. I explained everything to Raul and Omar and they believed every word. Raul though, was more interested in me than the amount of attempted robberies that were tried on Cartel members. Raul took me into his truck and lit a cigarette. "Javi." He said, taking in a drag of nicotine. "Has anyone ever told you, you look like a rabbit?!" He yelled laughing. I laughed along trying to hide the fact that I wasn't really amused. "That's your new name! Conejo!" Raul yelled, which was Spanish for "Rabbit." He laughed the joke off for a while and then he stopped to look at me. "I like you kid, you have no fear in you, which is one very good reason why I like you, and I think you and I are going to be great business partners if we play our cards right." The Capo said. "You're not fit for what I had planned for you, which was to deliver some pocket change out on the streets, but no, you, you're special." I couldn't help but thank Raul for the words. "Javi, I want you to be my assasin, my hitman." I was puzzled, "Sir? I don't understand." I told him. "You have no fear, you aren't afraid to take the next step kid, which is what I need." Raul then gave me the $1300 he had promised me and then pulled out another wad of cash, counting them as he gave them to me, Raul handed me $15,000 USD and said; "Work for me and I'll keep doubling your money with every kill you get." Apparently the $15,000 USD he was offering was for a bonus if I immidiately decided to work for him. I accepted his offer, in one day, I had made enough money to pull my family out of the gutter, I wasn't letting this one slip away. Raul said he would get all of the help I would need to master a skill not many people live long to use, how to be an assasin. To pass the test though, I was going to have to have my first exam be in two weeks, the first person on my hit list was Juan Beltran, a narc who worked for the rival drug cartel, "Nismos." Beltran started to work for Raul back when The Nismos weren't too big, he then betrayed Raul a year later, he would steal money from the storages which they kept there money in, and steal guns out of Raul's own personal stash. Beltran later left to join The Nismos, a year later, Beltran had a target on his back put on by his former boss, and I couldn't wait to hit the target. The next morning my mom woke me up with her yells. "Where we're you at Javier Ochoa?" I knew she would be furious, I didn't get home until about four in the morning. I got up and grabbed the $18,000 USD I had made in one day of working for Raul. The bills were wrapped up in rubber bands inside a black school bag. My mom's hand went immidiately to her face as she gasped for air. "Where did you get all this mijo?" My mom asked. I told her how I had worked for Raul and all, except for the crackhead incident, I had left out that part. She wasn't too fond of me working this way to get money but she knew she wouldn't be able to stop me, plus all I had told my mom was that I worked as a "Security Guard" for an infamous Drug Lord and just when he would attend family incidents. I had to make up a believable story that she would fall for, and she did. My mom was just too excited to care, we had money we had to spend, we paid what we owed in double, the only way they would let us stay. After paying our priorities a visit first, we then had $15,000 USD to spend freely. Two weeks later, I was on my first ever hitman job. I had been stalking Juan Beltran in his home just outside of Cd. Juarez, my plan was simple, as soon as he got home from work, I would walk up behind him and that would be all. I was parked behind a red Cavalier in front of his home, I was wearing all black, a ski mask, my vest, and of course, my favorite instrument to play, a suppressed M1911, the same M1911 pistol the junkie had been carrying. I saw his Ford Truck pull up into his driveway and off I went. I went around the truck trying to catch him off surprise but I would be the one to catch a surprise, as I cocked the gun back a red Honda Accord with tinted windows pulled up, exactly like my friend Alex's mom's car. The window rolled down and I could see a hand come out with what looked like an Uzi sub-machine, I was caught by surprise but I ducked immidiately when I saw the Uzi bullets speeding my way. The person then started to shoot in my direct area, meanwhile I could see Beltran trying to escape through the back of the house's yard. I got up and shot four bullets into the Honda and then I could tell the driver was an inexperienced shooter due to his lack of will to try and shoot back, instead he reversed immidiately and took off before I could get a good couple of shots at the car. I immidiately focused my attention on the fleeing Beltran. I ran to try and catch up with him, I could still see him running from where I was running, I was much faster than Beltran and he knew that, from a distance I saw him stop completely, turn around and he tried shooting at me, I ducked behind a wall to avoid gunfire, my gun only had about three shots, three shots I'd have to make the best out of. I saw him duck for fire and I immidiately rushed him and tackled him down, his gun was knocked out of his hand and I had no clue where mine was at. He got back up and started to look for his gun, he turned around only to see me aiming his gun at him. "With love, el Señor Suaréz." I politely told him. I then put six bullets in his chest, and of course, one bullet struck him right between his eyeballs. One down, many many more to go. Maybe I was getting a little carried away but I felt invincible. I was Javier "El Conejo" Ochoa, soon to be, The World's most feared hitman, but for now, I was more interested in finding out who was behind the wheel in that Honda from earlier, luckily I knew just where to start.
