Christmas morning
On the bus on the way to Pittsburg, Avery was awaken from a pothole. The sun shined in her eyes as she looked around at the mess that was caused do to the celebration of Louis's birthday the night before. She smiled at the memories and hopped out of her bunk. She noticed that she was not the only one awake, for the bunk above her had even empty as well. Curious she walked trough the tiny hallway to the biggest area that was on the our bus.
To her amazement, a neon pink Christmas tree stood 3 feet tall in the center. Surrounding it was a few presents and next to it stood Liam. Her grin widened, as she stood baffled. Liam grinned and spoke,
"I though everyone might enjoy having a little Christmas,"
"Liam! This is ... Beautiful! It's perfect. How did you do this?" Avery ran engulfing him in a tight embrace. He hugged back.
"I found the only Christmas tree available at 3 am Christmas Eve, and thought we would have our own moving Christmas," he smiled a modest grin.
"BOYS! BOYS WAKE UP!!" She screamed giggling as the hungover drowsy boys followed one by one into the tight space. As they all saw the tiny pink tree, grins formed on their faces. They all have Liam pats on the back and ran the get the presents they had bought throughout the course of tour.
The presents were opened and everyone was having a great Christmas. Avery looked around the room smiling at her best friends and they messed with their gifts. Her eyes met Harry's, they grinned at each other and he motioned for her to meet him in the back room. They excused themselves and started. She had realized that Harry hasn't given her a gift. She did make him promise to not buy her one, but she knew that he would.
As they reached the room, Harry planted a kiss on her cheek and pulled out a little box. Avery let out a gasp.
"Harry, you promised no presents,"
"Come on, love, did you really expect me to not get you anything?" He grinned, opening the tiny box. A small gasp left her mouth.
"Harry! Wha-" she was cut off.
"I wanted to get you something that you would love. Something that you could keep forever and always be reminded of me when I'm not here or when I'm standing right next to you," he grinned at her reaction.
In the box lie a ring. It was a gorgeous sterling silver with a diamond right in the middle surrounded by a heart. Inside was the inscriptions, 'all the way to Africa', which has been the couples motto, if you will, since they had met. What was an inside joke formed from a little boy who had came up to them asking how much they love each other. The two stood puzzled by the question, for they hadn't even been dating yet. Before they could answer the little boy asked if they loved each other all the way to Africa, for that is 'farther than the moon." They smiled, and Harry had answered,
"Yes... I love her all the way to Africa,"
Some could say it's because of the little boy that the two had made the step of becoming a couple, which was mostly true.
Avery felt years welling up on her eyes staring at the inscriptions. Harry kept talking,
" ...I-it's a promise ring," he felt his palms sweating, " it means that we promise to love each other until the day comes when we decide to get married. It means you're mine am I'm yours... forever," a smile left their lips.
"Harry... This is the most beautiful, amazing touching gift I could have ever imagined. I love you so much," she kissed him. He smiled into the kiss, and deepened it. They found themselves lying on the bed, only to break their kiss when Harry spoke.
"So... Avery," he held the ring up, "will you promise with me to love each other forever?" She grinned, pecked him on the lips and answered,
"I wouldn't have it any other way,"
