Chapter Two
I awoke some time later, it was dark at that point. I rolled up and looked at the watch on my hand, it holo-projected the time "2130 hours" it beeped at me. I sighed, that meant I had missed dinner, oh well- I would have to find something else to eat. I stood, leaving my room and going down the steps. The house was silent at this time, my family would be fast asleep. I rummaged through the kitchen for a little while, finding a box of dried crackers. I grumbled in distaste, but it was better than nothing. On the table, the bag of money sat next to the weapons I had collected, they must have been planning to go sell the weapons tomorrow. I went to the bag, pulling out the wads of money. I counted threw the packs, finding there was a total of 50,000 wupiupi. That was enough to buy myself a nice ship- I thought. I quickly pushed the thought from my mind, I couldn't do that- I couldn't steal from my own family.
I clutched the bag with my hands, I knew my father did not want me to leave- he was keeping me and my brother around. He wanted two strong airs to his 'throne' I stared at the gold coins, then to the weapons laying on the table, I hadn't really gone threw them. I had glanced, but really I had seen what we'd stolen. To distract myself, I rummaged through the various weapons. Short range, long range. Old, new. Almost everything. Something silver caught my eye, buried under an automatic. I reached for it, and pulled it from the bag. It shimmered, it did not have a hilt or blade. It was just a round silver tube with a button on the side. Perhaps it was a detonator? I stretched my arms out as far as I could, and pressed the button. A loud "buzz" sound emanated from the thing, and I opened my eyes. I was illuminated in purple light. A shaft of light was poking out from the end of the metal tube. I stared, moving my hand. It made a soft buzzing noise as it cut through the air. I studied the thing, was it possible this was a lightsaber? I thought those things had been destroyed. I wanted to test it on something, but I didn't want to break anything.
I pulled on a huge overcoat and stepped outside, I walked to the outside of the town, a boulder sat by the walls. I prepared for the light sword to do nothing, but I swung and to my surprise the rock was sliced clean in half. I jumped back as the top of the rock slid from its original resting place and crunched onto the ground. The purple light flickered and let out another low buzz. I studied it but before I could test it again it went out, like water over a flame- it was gone. I shook the thing, and pressed the button but it was not going to work again. I shoved it into my overcoat pocket and returned to the house. I stared at the bag of money, bit my lip then went to bed.

I woke the next morning to my father shaking my body. "Wake up Ondrea" he said, I muttered and rolled up. "what." I grumbled. He sighed. "We are going to the main city to sell what you have found, and cash in our money." He grinned, still giddy about the 50,000 we had stumbled upon. I stood up as he left. I changed then followed them downstairs. We piled into the speeder, then headed towards the main city. We arrived in no time. I jumped from the speeder, grabbing the bags and shoving a small blaster into my pocket. Just in case anyone got the wrong idea. We where known around these parts, we where not the 'kind' type. My father was basically the new Jaba. We walked towards one of the dealers, he shrunk away when he saw the empire grade blaster in my hand. My father dumped the bag on his small counter. "Go through, tell us what you can give us." He said. The dealer nodded, and with a shaky paw he began to dig through what we were offering. He nodded, his fear changing to happiness. He looked at my father and let out a noise. It was a Bimm. They did not speak the same language as us, but they understood to things- money and guns.
It dug threw a drawer then pulled a large bag from below it, filled to the brim with money. It squeaked a noise, and my father looked at the purse. As he was counting through it, I started to feel... strange. I looked around, my hand tightening around the trigger. Eyes scanning threw the various creatures walking around behind us. I gasped and pushed my father sideways, in surprise he threw the bag of money. As he fell a beam of light hit the dealers stand sending it up in flames. The dealer screeched, attempting to save what he could. I glanced around, seeing a flash of silver and something vanishing behind a building. I yelled for my brother to follow me, and I took off. Jumping over various people and buildings. I could see them better now, dressed in white and gray clothing. I ran faster, pumping my legs and arms. It turned a corner sharply, and I saw two speeders waiting. I stared, running faster as it jumped into the cars and started one of them up- it took off. Without thinking I jumped into the second one, starting it and taking off.
