(Ruby's POV)

"Ruuuuubbbbbyyyyyyyyyy," I hear Pearl say. I've been dating her for 3 months now. She's a great person, don't get me wrong, but she needs to shut the fuck up and chill. I just want to go back to being friends with her.

"Yes, P?" I say as sweetly as I can.

"Come to the bathroom with me!!!" She replies.

No bitch. I don't want to do anything with you.

"Um, I didn't do the English homework. So I'm gonna do that now, okay babe?" I say as a lame excuse.

"Oh, when you were in the snack line I went in your binder and did the homework for you!" She said, then a big smile grew on her face.

Whelp. More excuses.... I need more excuses....

What should I do?

"Thanks!!" I exclaim. It's okay for now.

I'll just....
Uh....
Turn around and ask the person behind me about a quick study session right now.

Yes. That works! It'll be perfect!!!

Okay. I'll turn around in 3.. 2..

"Hey, uh..."
What? Look at my luck right now. I turn around and there's Sapphire.

"Uh... there's 20 minutes left in the period of you wanna help me study for math?"

Sure why not.

We have the same teacher, but we don't have it 3rd period together.

Let's just hope she says no.

(Sapphire's POV)

What the actual hell?? She asks ME over Pearl to go study with her?? Well.

What should I say...??

I do need more help with math, I guess. So this could help us both. But this also could be a prank.

Oh well.

"Uh.... sure??" I reply. It's worth a shot.

"Okay, let's go to study hall then. Bye Pearl!" She smiles at Pearl and hugs her.

"Rubyyyyyy, can I come with you?" Pearl gives Ruby these puppy-dog eyes.

Ruby got a stressed expression on her face and said, "The library is full and there's only two more seats left. Maybe tomorrow."

How does she know how many seats are left? Is that an excuse?

To be alone with me?!

We finally arrive at the library- and to my surprise, there's only 5 people there!

Ruby and I find a small table and sit at it. I guess we should... study? I don't know. It's all so confusing. What's really going on?

(Ruby's POV)
I really don't wanna study. I just wanted to get away from Pearl.

"So what do you need help with?" Sapphire starts speaking "Fractions are pretty hard, so we can go ove-" I cut her off saying, "I don't wanna study."

(Sapphire's POV)
What? Then what does she want?

"Oh... Then why did you drag me here?" I ask as politely as I can.

"I just didn't wanna be around Pearl. She's been so annoying lately." She admits.

What? I thought that she loved Pearl.

(Ruby's POV)

Here goes nothing.

"Can you give me some advice? I know I've been a bitch to you and you probably hate me... But I really need some help right now."

She moves her hair out of her face, and looks down. I can't help but to stare at her bright, blue eyes.

"I'll help you. On one condition." She looks up, staring at me with those beautiful eyes of hers...

"Yes?" I reply.

"You stop bullying me. Please. Do you have any idea what your words do to me?" I see her pull down the sleeves of her sweater, covering her wrists.

Then it hits me. She cuts because of me...

"Oh my god- Sapphire... I never realized..."

(SAPPHIRE'S POV)

Next thing I know, Ruby throws her arms around me and hugs me.

This is so weird.

"Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't do something like that to herself...."

I feel my cheeks getting hot. Did she just call me... beautiful?

"I promise I'll never bully you again. As long as you don't hurt yourself again."

Why does she care? She's just a bully. Probably doing this to make me care about her. Then, she'll break my heart just like that... This is all just a prank...

Ruby sits down on the seat she was at before she got up and hugged me.

A million thoughts ran through my head-

Then Ruby smiled at me. A real smile. A smile that makes you realize that everything will be okay. A smile that makes every problem disappear. A smile that make me realize this wasn't a prank.

A smile that make me realize; I've fallen for Ruby.
