When you think that everything is going according to what you wish it would happen, sometimes, some things just cannot be avoided that would block those merry, happy thoughts.
Thea is holding her feelings back because of some events in her past. Later, Makee's presence would make it easier for her to open up and convey her emotions. Ironically, though, Makee's presence would also make things harder for her to relay what she actually feels and maybe, just decides to witdraw them completely.
