Baekhyun has been keeping his romantic feelings for his best friend, Bomi, for the past five years now. He really wants to confess because that's what a manly man is supposed to do but there's someone holding him back.

Someone who already has his bestfriend's heart. Yes, Bomi is already taken and Baekhyun isn't really happy with that fact. He tried confessing three times but her boyfriend would always pop out of nowhere when he's about to say the three magic words to her.

Baekhyun wants all the best for Bomi and her current boyfriend isn't really close to being one. He believes that no one is the best for her but him, but why can't she see that?

"Yah! Baekhyun-ah!" Bomi shouts throughout the hallway. Baekhyun doesn't look back, he's mad because Bomi left him in the coffee shop yesterday just because her boyfriend texted her and told her to meet him up.

"Do you forgot I'm a runner?" Baekhyun doesn't respond as Bomi is now walking beside him and poking his cheeks.

"Yah, Baek! Talk to me. Did I do anything wrong?" She asks, wiggling his arms. Baekhyun gives her a glance before heaving a big sigh.

"No, nothing."

"But you aren't looking into my eyes. Come on, Baek. What's the problem?" Bomi asks in an irritated manner that has Baekhyun biting the inside of his cheeks.

This is one of the situations where Baekhyun wants to explode because hey, how can Bomi be so dense?

"It's you, okay?" Bomi furrows her eyebrows at the answer, completely puzzled as to why her bestfriend is acting weird these past few days.

"I miss you, Bomi. I really miss you. Ever since you got yourself a boyfriend we barely talk anymore. I feel like you left me behind after all those years of being each other's back just for that boyfriend of yours." Baekhyun bites his lower lip, feeling the courage building up inside him again and deciding that this must be the best time to tell her what he truly feels.

"Bomi, you know how much you mean to me, right?"

Bomi nods.

"I... I think... I'm—" Bomi cuts him off by placing a finger onto his lips.

"Don't say that, Baek. Don't leave me. I'll make it up to you, okay?"

"Who said I'm going to leave you?" 

"W-What?"

"I already know what you're going to say." Bomi swallows the lump on her throat, "That you'd just leave me if that what makes me happy but no," She shakes her head, holding Baekhyun's hand, "I don't want you gone by my side. So please, forgive me, hm? I... I'll make up for the time I become an ass to you. Promise!"

"You really are an idiot." Baekhyun shakes his head as he lets out a laugh—the why-does-she-have-to-be-so-stupid kind of laugh.

"Let's date? How's that sound?" A small smile takes its way to Baekhyun's lips. Date sounds nice, atleast.

"Okay, when are we going to date?" Baekhyun surrenders, wrapping an arm around Bomi's shoulder as they walk together just like the old times. His fourth attempt to confess obviously failed again and so he decides that his feelings doesn't matter anymore. As long as Bomi is by his side, he'd be fine with it.
