I walked down the right side if the hallway looking down at the map to seem normal. I slowed my pace and stepped less swiftly. Being normal was alien to me.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I looked up at the person that had just bumped into my side. It took a lot not to react. I folded my map and set it between my chest and my books.
"It's ok." I said painfully. It was a boy. The one thing I hated with every fiber of my being. But what made me hate him more was how attractive this boy was.
"Are you new? I haven't seen you around before. I would have remembered you." He smiled a charming smile. His attempt at flirting repulsed me even more. I left my face blank.
"Yes I'm new." I stepped past him continuing my journey to my science class.
"What's your name?" He jumped beside me, eager to communicate.
"Lucy." I said pulling out my map again to make it seem believeable.
"I'm Harry." I could see his lips pull into a large smile in the corner of my eye. I nodded acknowledging that I heard him.
"What class are you going to?" He obviously didnt get the hint that I didn't want to have a conversation with him.
"AP biology." I said blankly. Looking up at a room to the left of me.
"I happen to be going to the same class. You won't get lost now." He smirked. I wasn't lost and I wasn't going to be lost. His arrogance made my body pulse with annoyance. I calmed myself remembering that I couldn't screw this up.
"So, what brings you here mid semester?" He asked trying to make small talk on our rather lenthy walk to the lab. I had to answer his questions or I would seem not normal.
"I moved here with my uncle. He said this was the best school here and wanted the best for me." Which was the truth.
"I see. If you don't mind me asking, why your uncle?" His question was completely innocent, curious, and genuinely caring.
"I do mind you asking actually." I turned swiftly in front of him.
"Oh, I missed it. Good thing you were paying attention." He said following me into the class room. It was maybe half way into the classe. I looked to the students. Many boys smiling a devios smile, and many girls throwing me ugly looks. Indicating that it looked as if Harry and I had come from a specific interaction. This also told me a lot about Harry's character. That this was not the first time this happened. I rolled my eyes and headed for the teachers desk. She was younger than expected. Looked fresh out of college. It was a woman thank god. I was comfortable with women.
"Hi, I'm new, I'm Lucille." I said handing her my schedule and another piece if paper work.
"Hi there Lucille, mind if I call you lucy?" i nodded and smiled in acceptance. "I'm miss Landon, but you can call me miss car." She said smiling. She was quite chipper and excited of my being there.
"Awe, well, mr. Styles. You've just had your lucky day. You're no longer alone." She said looking to the empty seat next to the boy I had just walked in with.
"Lucy here will be your lab partner." She said smiling. I looked toward Harry sitting in the back corner. A blonde boy turned around in front of him to give a high five. A few giggles escaped a few students mouths. I had to sit with something I hated.
I walked quickly over to my seat and sat as far away from him as I could without looking unnatural. Which wasn't very far. I could feel him grinning at me. I refused to look. I tensed in my chair as I felt him lean toward me.
