Laurent's pov

"I took this game of his to be a silly childish joke. I never really looked at the rule book or the consequences of playing. And now, I kind of wished I had..."

I had a feeling that I was alone. I woke up fluttering my eyes open and squinting at the bright light, I looked over next to me and saw that I was the only one in bed. I bit my bottom lip and began to grow weary as I ran my fingers through my hair. Flashbacks of last night began to replay in my mind seeing as though my nudity is hidden underneath the covers. What did I do? What was I thinking? I fell into his trap, he had me right where he wanted me and I couldn't turn around and change that now. I had made the next move in this game of his. I pondered over the thought of this move being the worst decision ever. He even warned me But instead of listening I let my ego get in the way.I needed help, and I know exactly where to get it from. I need to give my boy Roy a call. I reached over to the nightstand next to the bed and grabbed my phone dialing the number, it rung a couple time before he answered.

Roy: "hello"

Laurent: "hey, you free to talk?"

Roy: "yeah man what's up"

Laurent: "I need to ask you something"

Roy: "about what?"

Laurent: "do you thi nk it's possible for a player to well...stop being a player?"

Roy: "I guess, I mean it depends on who this player."

Laurent: "it's larry"

Roy: "really, why larry"

My hands began to shake as he asked that question. There wasn't anything that I couldn't tell to Roy. He was my best friend. But I didn't want him to know about me and larry, so I came up with a possible answer that seemed legitimate.

Laurent: "well, I always see Larry mess around with girls. But he has been seeing this one person and lately, Larry has been more focused on the person."

Roy: "well, this is larry where talking about. His smart enough to know the right and wrongs in life. It's okay for a man his age to not want to settle down until his ready. And laurent, if you feel like larry is finally settling down with this person then you have nothing to worry about. You know he is loyal, Don't second guess yourself. But if you are concerned about larry playing around with this person too, whoever they are, then just go ask larry if he is ready for a serious relationship. Ask him if he is done playing the player card for awhile."

Laurent: "right...your absolutely right, thanks bro"

Roy: "no problem."

We said our goodbyes and hung up the phone. He made a good point. Was it really that easy? All I have to do is just ask him a simple question and that's it.  But what if I get nervous hearing his answer. What if his answer isn't the correct one. The worst thing Larry could say is no, so I got up and quickly took a shower, by the time I got out I smelled the aroma of food into the air. I through on any clothes that I could find and walked into the kitchen where I saw a smile on his face lighting up the room. A spatula laid in his hands as he flipped and tossed the pancakes into the air. I greeted him with a hug and a goodmorning kiss before taking my seat.
