The boys were able to leave early. With the extra time Uncle Niall and I didn't plan on having, we went to the hardware store to get some stuff for my room. Mainly paint for the time being.
When we walked in the store we went straight to the paint station. I started looking at color swatches trying to find something.
"I see you keep going to the green." I looked up and a worker was looking at the colors.
"I guess it just catches my eye." I said picking up the lime green again. I had the lime green and deep purple in my hands, "Now, if you were a teen girl, which would you choose?" I asked the lady. She took the colors from me and looked at them.
"Well, the purple says 'look at me! I'm mature and ready for my future.' But the green argues 'I'm a kid. I wanna live in the moment and enjoy what I have right now.' Did that help?" She laughed. I nodded laughing as well.
"It very well did." She handed the colors back to me. Uncle Niall came back over to me and he had his arms full of paint supplies.
"So I got paint rollers, paint trays, paint tape,"
"Are you sure you need all of that? It looks like you're supplying for the apocolapes." I said.
"I had the idea that maybe the boys would come and help." He said.
"I think you and I can handle it." I laughed. Uncle Niall ran to put some of the stuff away while I took one last glance at the color swatches. I was fine with the lime green and started for the counter.
"Got what you needed?" The teen boy asked. I nodded. Uncle Niall got to the counter in time to answer how many gallons we needed.
"Two should be enough for right now." He said. While the paint was being made we went and looked at a grill.
"Why are we looking at grills?" I asked when we got to where they were.
"Mine broke and I like to grill so I need a new one or I'll start to panic." I nodded and secretly rolled my eyes at my uncle. He can be so dramatic sometimes.
Now me being a girl and not caring about the situation, I looked at the different colored light bulbs behind where we were standing. The bright orange one fascinated me. Yes, a light bulb does that.
Finally I was getting impatient. I turned to see my uncle nodding in an approving way.
"I found a grill." He smiled proudly.
"Uncle Niall, it's a grill. So please just stop acting like it's the Olympics gold medal." My uncle narrowed his eyes and we made our way back to the paint station. Luckily it was good to go. We went to check out and paid for what we had then left.
"I need to find somebody with a truck." My uncle spoke out loud. I sat in the passengers seat trying to get the air conditioner to point at me.
"Isn't there a truck rental place around here?" I asked.
"I honestly don't know. But I wanna try and get the grill for exactly what it's worth. Renting a truck will cost more than the grill itself." I was shocked by what my uncle said.
"So world wide superstar, Niall Horan, still trying to find a way to save money? You are amazing!" I shouted. My uncle chuckled.
"I may have all the money I want, but I'm still smart about it. And the money I could spend on renting a truck, I'd rather save it for a useful time or spend it on my niece." He smiled.
"Awe, look at you getting all sappy." I said in a baby voice.
"How did you get this witt!? You could be Louis' kid!" Uncle Niall exclaimed.
"It comes with the package." I said. I even made myself laugh. I'm so good!
