That beeping has been driving me nuts since I woke up. The odd thing was, my eyes wouldn't open. I got more irritable as the low beeping continued. I finally decided to get out of my comfy position and lift my arms to search around. I rubbed my eyes successfully and opened them. It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the dim lighted room. Pale blue curtains? Plain white walls? The end of a hospital bed? I looked to my stomach and followed the odd fabric up my body till my eyes crossed at my nose.
"What is going on?" I whispered to myself. The small TV was on. I could see a sports show running some replays from a baseball game earlier.
The big door opened and I saw Liam's soft hair. I smiled finally able to see somebody, "Liam!" I cheered. His eyes went wide and he set his chips and water down on the small table.
"When did you wake up!?" He spazzed.
"Like five minutes ago. Why? What happened? And where's everybody else?" I rattled off all my questions.
"You've been sleeping for two days. I'll explain when Niall gets here. And everyone's back at the hotel." Liam answered.
"Why isn't Uncle Niall here? Not to be rude." I quickly added.
"He was stressing out to much." Liam answered. He took my hand and gave it a light squeeze.
"What time is it?" I've never asked so many questions before at once.
"Two in the morning." Liam chuckled.
"You should be sleeping!" I freaked.
"I'm fine. Right now you're the important one. I'll text Niall and the guys to come. Hopefully the hospital can bend the rules and let them in." Liam smiled. I nodded and Liam took his phone out. He quickly sent a text and took my hand again, "How're you feeling?" Liam asked.
"Tired still and worn out like I ran fifty foot." I said.
"Cam-"
"I know what I said." I stopped him. I wanted to sleep again so bad.
"Niall's on his way." Liam informed me. I nodded.
"Can you please tell me what happened so I don't have to have a doctor go all terminology on me." I ranted.
"Well you didn't loose the tude." Liam chuckled, "While you were unconscious they took blood and did a bunch of tests. It turns out there was some weird drug in you and we can only connect to the food you ate two days ago or the water you chugged and other drinks." Liam explained.
"When ever I ate though I always had somebody with me, I never passed out then. My Pepsi was safe because I had it hiding somewhere so that had to be untouched. The last thing I remember drinking was the water I chugged. Where did the water come from?" I asked.
"I think from our dressing room." Liam answered.
"There had to be something in that water. I didn't eat or drink anything after that." I said frustrated.
"Where is she! Where's my niece!" I face palmed myself. Here we go....
"Niall!" I heard somebody yell.
"Cambrie where are you!?" My door flew open and my uncle ran at me and took me in his arms, "God damn it took long enough. Stupid ass doctors." My uncle said not so under his breath.
"Uncle Niall, I'm fine. I'm breathing, I'm talking, I'm not blind or deaf, I'm only tired." I tried to call him down.
"Why are you so calm about this? You could have died!" My uncle slapped a hand over his mouth and his eyes went wide. I don't know what my expression is but I don't think I have one.
"What?" I whispered.
"I wasn't suppose to say anything." My uncle said breathlessly. I looked to Liam and saw the others standing behind him.
"Can I just be alone with my uncle please?" I asked the guys. They walked out immediately and shut the door. I just stared blankly at the wall.
"Cambrie, I'm sorry. You weren't suppose to know that." My uncle started.
"No, it's fine. I guess I should have connected the pieces if I've been out for two days." I said. My uncle sat next to the hospital bed and held my hand. We were silent until he spoke.
"I've been thinking for a few weeks about this whole situation. Since, now you really don't have parents and you're my goddaughter, I think when the tour is over we need to, we need to make you legally my, my daughter." I looked up at my uncle in disbelief.
"I thought you were going to wait a couple years." I said.
"I know, but, I don't want your grandmother taking you from me. I know it's a long shot and your life will change so drastically but I promised your dad and mum I would take care of you. And when I legally make you my daughter we can choose new god-parents for you and you can even help choose." My uncle said.
"I want Perrie to be my godmother!" I said quickly. My uncle laughed and hugged me.
"I love you so much Cambrie." My uncle said.
"I love you too Uncle Niall."
